True that, considering elite strains that are "clone only" exist. Funny when people say that! You mean to tell me those clone only strains are only elite for a little while? Bwahahahaha makes a ton of sense. Sometimes people don't think past their gumption!
Yea their are elite plants but over cloning can cause loss of vigor, loss of potency and an ugly plant with 3 fan leafs everywhere, I have grown plants that have been cloned way too much and they suck they take so long to veg even after rooted and long as hell to flower as well.

Thats a nice op, approximity how much cash would someone need to get started like that?
lack of money is the only reason i been doin cabinet grows, crappy CFLs and bagseed, :(

Thanks! It's not really that big or nice of a grow, hehe. Won't go into it all now but originally it was just to get me going till some equipment was returned. I've since added to it, lol.

There are lot's of options for lower cost growing. It really depends on what direction you want to take...

First, shop online as much as possible. I have Amazon Prime and I get shit cheap and free 2-day air.

For you I might suggest you get a small but quality LED fixture($300). You can use a decent LED for all phases, you don't need cooling(usualy), and can keep them lower. You could also supplement with your CFL or a T5. I would also suggest TGA supersoil. I suggest this because you just add water. No extra cost or energy of mixing nutes, and don't have to PH adjust. You'll need at-least one bag of the super and one of the base. So that is around $100 I think. Be careful tho, I used 1/2 a bag of super, then left it in the corner for top dressing later, went to use it yesterday and was covered in small flying bugs so I trashed it. That's all you need really.

More on my setup...

I have the convertible 400w basalt, I dont recommend it, its a ballast and fixture in one. I have good bulbs for it, Hortilux hps and mh, but have only been using the hps this round. It is currently in the grow tent but really wish I had a remote basalt and cool tube instead. The grow tent is a really cheap one from Amazon. Not 100% light tight but I don't need it to be.

I added a couple cheap led fixtures a while back, I really wish I had looked into it more, my next big purchase will prob be a high quality led. Have them in a closet flowering some Tangie.

And most recently I added a 4x4 t5 fixture for all the seedlings I had. I vegged all the seedlings with it and it's currently got 3 mothers under it.

Also, my existing grow is in all #1 pots. So I have to feed often. Using Vegamatrix nutes. Next time around I'm gonna flip a bunch of clones right after rooting for SOG in the closet, and was actually trying to think of a way to try out a vert grow in my tent.

Awsome! good ideas, i wonder why bugs and animals atrracted to soil i transplanted a big girl outside about a year ago, a few hours later something dug it up and got soil everywhere, now im worried to plant outdoors with good soil. anyway thanks, that setup should work good for me.
