Hey guys,

I have a few posts out there asking some questions but I wanted to get this all under one page so I can keep shit straight. I found a bunch of similar posts all over the web but they are mostly old AF, and I feel like the strains available a few years ago are either no longer available or just hard as hell to come by.

I am looking for the following features:
Fast seed to harvest time.
Short/bushy plant growth.
High Yield/High Potency.

I'm willing to do the work in training and etc to keep things small, I am very limited on growing height. Plants will be in small 1/2 gal containers.

So far, I have had recommendations for the following:
M26/Early Bird ($$)
Puck Yeah ($$$)
Granny Skunk ($$$)
NL#5 (cant find)

I have found through searching the following options as well:
NL+Lowryder Cross ($$)
Tutankhamon ($)
Jamaican Dream ($$)
Critical ($)
Cindy 99 ($$)

$ - <$20
$$ - <$50
$$$ - >$50

I can only pick one or 2 strains since my space is 21x21x28. I dont want to spend too much time experimenting so I am hoping you guys already did that for me =) Forgive my laziness, I am an IT guy and in my business, shortest distance is king...you guys are my shortest distance to an answer.

Thats a pretty tough space to work with, not impossible though. Bros grimm c99 may work. Maybe do a sea of green? If thats your only space, you will have to do alot of work from seed. You could get the cindy xx (fem c99), pop a seed and train vigorously. A combo of low stress training with topping to get her to branch alot and limit verticle growth. Get to the point where you can take 12-16 clones, dont be afraid to take extra, get them to root, chop the mom and flip the clones at transplant. If you used solo cups you could do up to 25 clones i think? Have to measure a cup. This would give you short plants and a full canopy right from flip. If you had a seperate veg area it would make things alot easier. Be very careful with light selection. T5s would work well, theyre very forgiving. There are led options that would work but alot of them will just be too intense for such short height.

I need to keep 4 plants in my space at most, laws here are strict but much less if you own less than 5 plants total. I have 7 which makes me nervous but I'm waiting to see if any are fem. This shit just needs to get legalized already!!!

Have you tried any auto flower plants? Otherwise I would look for indicas. Dr. greenthumb has Iranian crosses that would hit all your check points but you will pay top dollar for his beans.

I think autos would be a little unpredictable, no? Thats half question, half statement, ive seen alot of varying outcomes with autos. Seems like it is very much an art growing them. Good genetics are worth every penny. When anyone questions the price of a pack of seeds, just compare them to a bag of equal cost and what you could get out of them. Factor in the likely serious quality increase and the fact that you can now just keep cloning it?

Mother of berries (M.O.B.) would also be a great option. A strain im very familiar with. 45-50 days ready to go. Short, bushy and dense frosty nugs. Very berry like in aroma. Im not fond of trimming it because of this. The smell is overwhelming. Its really only wet trimming that does this to me though. It cures out very nicely. Because of the short flower time, lower buds not in prime light can be extra larfy. Partial harvest will help a bit. Or get your lollipop on. With your limited space i dont see this as much of an issue though. Really cool strain to have in the arsenal, i just got a cut back of it recently.

I personally don't grow autos but I know they can do the job in limited space situations. But you can definitely train photo plants to do the job as well, just a little more work.

You can also flip photo plants at like 2wks old and they'll perform much like an auto flower as far as size. I can't really think of any suggestions on strains besides indica strains.

Dr greenthumb was the biggest waste of money i ever spent on seeds, guy was rude when i addressed it, might have been somthing but is a has been IMO, and a total waste of time and money.
I wouldn't send him no $150, lol. I honestly have heard both good and bad so I wasn't sure but have heard good things about his iranian crosses. Though for $150, naw.

afghan kush ryder. Short little auto from world of seeds i think. STRONG and fast. Short plants but you might have to do some training.
A lot of the autos are short. You can fnd 1 to 2 foot ones if you shop by height
Tut is not short. Mine really stretched after flip. They are AK47 derived and grow sativa like.

With a half gallon container size coco would be my choice for substrate and feed it like hydro.

You can also flip photos at 2 weeks. I grew a kushy kush that flowered for 7 weeks and was ready, Indicas dont stretch as much and grow short.

The problem with sativas or sativa dominate is they stretch. I had some stretch 200% of the height at flip (King Tut and a Jack Herer did it)

Just remember you need room for distance between light and plant. So measure and flip when you get to the right height. Figure an indica will double (MAXish) and a Sativa can triple the height at that time.

That sour kush really nailed me :D Beauty eh

I have run aghan kush ryder in this box. 2 of them in a 1 gallon container. They fit ok.

Lets add Low Odor to the list of desirable traits. I really appreciate the input, I have a good list going.
I grew that strain. Not so low odor. Lots of flavor (pinesol) and gets you high af. Some of the best I have grown so I have another one going now.
