Confidential Cheese

The Cheese is frosting up nicely. The 9lb is starting some good flowers, and the black domina is right behind the 9lb by a few days. Tomorrow I'll be treating the 9lb hammer and the black domina for the last time for PM, and after that it's probably gonna be hand combat with wet paper towel wiping leaves.

when treating PM, one must remember, the leaves are how the plant feeds itself, so please don't tear them off if there's only a little spot. just use a wet paper towel and wipe if off really good, and if you have some kind of shield that allows you to spray that leaf with treatment and not get any on the buds, do so up to a certain age.

I have an ozone generator on the way to run every night for 10 minutes at lights out. i will turn off the exhaust fan, but leave the oscillators running to distribute ozone. after 10 min, the exhaust will kick back on, and life will be good (I hope...)

i think i'm gonna need a couple digital timers for the exhaust fan and the ozone gennie.

Time for bed. Up too late playing poker lol
Looking amazing man!

I'm so bummed that my buddy lost his jilly bean cut. now i'm gonna have to start some new ones when i get to buy some seeds in the beginning of the new year.... probably gonna end up spending a bunch of $$$ but fuck it, if something happens drastic in the world and we all have to bug out, i'll have a seed collection to get me started! next year i'm gonna get into doing some crosses and i hope they are successful! There's a lot i could learn on here from all of you. thanks for checkin' out the garden, Mo! lots of good stuff yet to come.

I've been doing some experimenting to make processing fresh aloe easier for watering.... I don't like to have to keep up on dishes, and using the food processor/blender/whatever one uses is just one more dish to do. i say boo to that. So i just took a gallon jug and put about 1/2 gal of water in it; this is to dilute the aloe into. Then, i took what i thought was the appropriate amount of aloe leaves for my 5gal bucket of h2o, and dunked my hand into the jug with 1/2 gal water and smashed the pulp into the water with my hand/fingers. it's really easy to smash up all the good stuff, and just leave the aloe leaves in the water. Last, pour the concentrated aloe solution through a strainer into your bucket of water. I just feel like the blender/food processor is too violent and might destroy some of the good stuff in the aloe, I dunno.... but they seemed to love it!

here's the Domina after the aloe and vegamatrix watering today...

I usually slice the leaf open, cut out the meat, and compost the rest, then its easy to mix with just a wooden stick/spoon or whatever
i was doing that, but honestly it's wayyyy easier to just squeeze it into water with your hand and the leaves stay in big pieces, so they strain out very easily.

i will have a photo of my aloe garden in a day or two... it's gonna be awesome!

I need to give the aloe a try!

Cheers,
Mo
i mean i don't know if it REALLY does anything lol, but they seem to react positively. eventually i'm going to do ROLS side by sides in 7.5 gal containers, one set water only, the other with aloe, coconut, you know all the tricks. just to see what happens in side by side. Mo you could make aloe water easily with those big ass leaves lol!!!! jealous!

do you consume the aloe mo? i would be if i had that much...

I think i'm going to hit up Grandma for some aloe...i'm sure she has some. She still has a geranium that was her mothers and she's been gone for over thirty years.
i got all my aloe plants from my mom lol. she gave me a 10" planter full of little pups. i've nursed a lot of them back to health, and now i'm starting to transplant them. I'll put up a pic later of them all...

thanks for that. nice read! aloe is some bomb shit for sure. I can't wait til i get big enough leaves to fillet and start making aloe smoothies and stuff.

here's a food prep video, by one of the people i learned about LOS from, for food gardening before i even considered it for indoor cultivation....

kinda lengthy, as all Jon's videos are lol

ive been using it fresh and the powder (the powder is not worth the money IMO).
.
Is it not worth the cost, or just not as good as fresh ?
I'v been using the powder from BAS, I like the results.
My fresh is to small, I need to by a few more.

it's not worth the cost (i depleted 1oz from BAS in no time with my medium size garden), and also, it never gave me the kind of result that you see in the pictures i posted last night. Don't get me wrong, the powder stuff works and will do the job... but its WAYYYY expensive. $55 for 4oz? no thanks. rather spend that on something else :) that's almost a new bulb! or the 2lbs of veganic special sauce OG TEA which is some bomb stuff (instant microbe tea no bubble necessary!).

vegamatrix calls for their "zyme" product with every feeding. I opted to not buy the zyme that they make, and instead use on rotation: aloe vera, coconut (this I do use the powder for from BAS currently because it's cheaper than buying the canned coconut water), and Liquid Kelp. All three of these products are loaded with enzymes and other beneficials and i guarantee it's better than what's in the bottle they're trying to sell lol.

I can't wait to get off the vegamatrix, but in all honesty i'm seeing great results and it's a breeze to use. No ph'ing ever and i'm only using their 4 basic products: grow, bloom, boost (basically Ca-Mg), and amp-it (micro nutes). I feel the zyme and hard'n'quick were unnecessary and just something else for them to sell. weekly microbial inoculations to keep soil microbes populated with the OG tea, and a good AACT once a month for everything in the garden.

I tried to watch a few of his videos but something about him irritates the fck out of me. Curtis Stone has some good knowledge and he is on youtube as well
