Shishkaboy's homemade 1200 watt perpetual grow tent journal

Came back to check at lights out and found the girls that I hit with the pollen have shriveling pistils already. Pretty sure they are pregnant, I will be hitting them again daily over the course of this week. This is gonna be a full seeded plant. I want really good odds at finding something exceptional, I will prollybe popping these for a long time to come. Unless they all come out rather similar, and fire, at that point I would have to get them out.

Now I'm all excited at what the querkle will do to the rp sour d. Sour grapes?
What about the dog?

sour grapes is one already pretty well known, so might lead to confusion.

Both of those crosses sound amazing though! definitely one of these days I need to do a massive seed run, even better that your making your own!!

Yeah, sour grapes is not the name, I'm thinking flavor. Have you started that breeding section at school yet? I'm working on this backcross and its freaking me out. I think I might really be on to something.

This male seems to pass down a spicy flavor and an overall hairy bud structure. IMO it is not good parental stock starting over.

we just had our midterm, looks like this week is regarding chemistry and enyzmes, then next section is genes, heredity squares, and all that fun stuff

Chopped the gigabud, pineapple express x Mr nice and 1 pheno of the ghs cheese x Mr nice. Drying in a cardboard box kept at around 50% for a few days. Bout to trim them and hang to finish the dry, prolly chopping the big chs x Mr nice just be fore lights on tonight, to put in the box. Now I have a few more pots more plants go in the flowering tent. The ghs cheese x Mr nice is like no leaf at all, I'm thinking at least a QP of her. She has a smell like cat urine.I can even understand how and why since I have had both of the parents. Its the stank of the cheese with way less fruitiness, but with a hazey\spicy, earthiness from the Mr nice. Cat piss for real. I'll take pics tonight when I chop.

Congrats on the successfully run. I always ask people this, like to hear what you think. What did you discover to do better next run? Any tweaks incoming in the setup?

This was my first time really vegging out and using the 5 gals. I learned that
support is needed at those levels. I learned that dog style is better for me to ma imize my production. Its more maintenance but its well worth it, Imo. From the yields of these small pots I know now exactly what I need to do. I changed up the drying process and think I will stick with this method. I will prolly neve r flower without a bloom booster, since 2 of the 5 gals snapped. Very good question, I also learned to ask this question at the end, as it really does help.

Got 15.3 from the ghc cheese x Mr nice pheno 1 in a small pot. This was pretty much the smallest in the tent and if this is a half. Then some are 1 oz'er maybe more. I just gonna run as many 2 gals as I can, with no real veg time except rooting and one topping. Few pics.

yea bigger plants definitely end up needing extra support. I definitely feel ya on no veg sog...if I was single and not concerned about legality, I would do massive 1 gal sog.

Also as for tweaks to the set up. I want to either get new mylar or panda film. Secondly I want to get a y splitter for my 4" fans, I basically need a 6" on one end and double 4" on the other. I figure I can drop like 5-10 degrees like this. Its usually 81-81 lights on. Its far from perfect but I built it from scratch so mods are very easy.

Yea I am debating how I want to set my room, I only plan on doing one more flower cycle here before I move, so don't want to get crazy upgrades that wont move with me.

i got a recommendation for you!
1 thing i noticed u should change from a past post was the position of your light/lights... idk if it was just one of them or all bur if u turn ur light/lights 90 degrees you will be golden all around..

like me... u have it [ - ] where [ ] is tent and - is bulb position...proper way is [ I ]

I know exactly what you mean, I would have to re engineer the frame in order to rotate the lights. I would have to get more ducting and maybe even stronger vent fans, since it would need to pull the hot air harder. I learned to always keep your "ducts in a row" I am most concerned with getting the hot air out with as little bends and twists in the ducting. Right now I can touch the glass but can't keep it there for long, with the addition of the upgrade I mentioned previously, I imagine that I would feel cool glass.
I feel like my light coverage is excellent, but I could use more reflection. I'll get a pic of the set up and how I vent soon.

Took about 1.5 grams of gigabud to class with me. The one with multiple smokers in it. So the guy that made the joke about wha he did on his day off starts looking around like,"it smells like mad weed". I go oh yeah that's right a present a gift while we were alone. He looks at me with this confused look takes a whiff and says beautiful. I waved my hand to let him know it was his.
The other cool did in my class that gave me a ride home last week let me know the me nice x cheese pheno 1 but I gave him was "great". It's funny, I usually don't get to cure much, but I never really loose out on smells or flavors either. My curing is mostly just for texture, but most of the time there is a very high demand for it.
