Share Cropping NEED YOUR THOUGHTS

Hey!
Just real quick, is there such thing as a normal spilt when it comes to growing with a partner ?
I have been growing with some success for the last two years, my quality hasn't been top shelf. This friend is going to use my equipment in my house with his genetics and formula for success. We are going to spilt the cost of running 50-50 and spilt 50-50. Is this normal and fair? I feel like im close but Ive felt that way for two years..... Do i really let someone take 50 percent ?


FYI I reside in cali and have all proper paperwork, as does he. He actually has a "99" card.

Sounds about right.
I have a similar situation here in canada.
As long as you share the workload and can trust each other to treat each other fairly.
If your paying for the equipment, he pays for the seeds. I would think you should split the electric bill and nute costs or pay those first than split 50/50 whats left.

"Partnership".. I read that on here and it stuck with me cuz I was in one and things ended badly..

Your equipment and your house? Sounds like an awesome deal...for your friend. Personally, I think you should immediately scrap this plan. How good can his genetics possibly be to warrant giving up 50% of your crop when you can easily get amazing genetics from any number of seed banks online. Forget about a partner. If it's knowledge you're after, RIU and Google can be your best friends. My suggestion is do it alone and keep 100%.

Good point, one thing for sure is it ALWAYS ends up bad... Partnering with growing, always ends up getting greedy.. its all fine and dandy until theres a harvest. Unless you have very genuine, mature friends/partners, get prepared for something of this nature. This is why I am personally no longer partnered with the friend I explain below...

As for you'r question, I've always felt it depends on how the work is split up. If your giving him a place to grow and hes doing it all, as far as I see it your don't have to do anything. I was giving 50/50 to a friend at one point just for giving me a place to grow and he did nothing but just that... I paid for everything, I did everything. So If your involved as well, its up to you to make it more in your favor or not, however, from what you've expressed, (in my opinion) I feel that's fair,l Good luck to ya!

What are you gaining by having a partner?
Will you get more product than doing it yourself?
If your not benefiting by ending up with more than you can harvest yourself then I don't see any point in having a partner

I have a partner ... We split all the equipment 50/50 I started in my apt he split my rent w me and the electric but I got him into the 3rd floor apt and we will use one of the bedrooms and the living room up there to grow in as well ... So we will each pay our own rent and electric ... But split the cost of trimmers nutrients soil odds and ends the come up... And then split the profits from the harvests .... So far so good .... But ya it usually doesn't end well at all ... I've had a number of shit bag ppl I've had to deal with
