Sexing outdoor plants??

So Im thinking of using 30 gallon round garbage cans (clean), to cover my plants from 9pm (already dark) to 830/9 am the next morning, the sun rises at 6ish so im putting them from 14-15 hrs a day to 12 or 12 1/2, in order to force them to show either male pollen sacks, or female pistils. I obviously leave one side tilted about a half inch up to allow for some airflow, facing away from sunrise .anyone tried this? thanks

If I put a seedling out right now it will show me sex just after Solstice.

Then it will continue to vegg until its time to actually flower.

I realize how the plant grows. i have 8 clones nearby that I dont want to turn male. Thats why I want to determine sex early so I can get the males out and stop wasting time/nutrient on them
