Setting up for perpetual harvest in 2 4x4 tents

Hello Rollitup community!

I'm a medical marijuana user and have finally received my paperwork to start legally growing! I'm really excited to be able to grow my own medicine legally. This seems like a great community to be a part of, and I will definitely appreciate any constructive criticism from some more experienced growers.

Here are the variables.

- I am allowed to have 25 plants total in my grow area.
- Space in my grow area allows 2 4x4 flowering tent.
- Mother/Clone/Veg tent needs to be smaller with lower max height due to sloped ceiling (May custom build unit to shape)
- I already have a 1000W Digital Ballast (dimmable to 600W and 750W) .
- Will purchase a second light
- Have 2 15A breakers to power everything
- Pro-Mix HP Pearlite Worm Castings with Organic Nutrient mix, wanted to keep it super simple for first grow.
-5L Smart Pots for the girls

My original plan was to run a 4x4 veg tent and a 4x4 flower tent but I think it makes may more sense to utilize two high wattage lights for flowering, and setup a third smaller tent with T5s or Linear LEDs for cloning/pre veg. I currently have one 4x4 tent started with seedlings growing and will be expanding the closer they get to flowering.

I want to eventually switch over to a complete LED setup, but I think for the time being I need to just grab another HPS/MH setup on the cheap until I can fork the money out for all the components for a COB or quantum board build (baby steps).

Due to power constraints I think I will be able to run 2 lights at 600W, maybe 750W once I see what total draw from everything else is.

The two 4x4 tents are setup beside each other, both lights will be vented with one fan outside. I want to vent smell through both tents through a single carbon filter. Should I put a single fan on top of each tent to the filter, or one large fan to pull air through both tents?

Given what I am allowed to have growing in my garden at any time, what would be the best schedule to grow to make the most use of my space to harvest as frequently as possible at max yield potential? I was thinking 6 plants per tent (12), 3-4 mothers (16) and pulling 9 clones (25) keeping the best 6 every time I need to replace my harvested crop.

What is the smallest possible space I would need to keep 4 mothers and star vegging 9 clones for my flower tent. My plan is to top twice then LST while vegging. Should I setup SCROG nets?

I will upload some pictures of what I've got going on so far shortly and start a grow journal once I get all this stuff sorted out.

I would run 2 carbon filters n one big fan on a controller for exhaust in the flowering tents .

Because of the plant count , I would skip mothers n clone from the bottom of the vegging plants .
Start 6, grow for 4 weeks
Start 6 more .
@ 6-8weeks flip the 1st 6 , clone these plants ( take 12) now u have 24.
After 2ish weeks keep the best 6 , toss the rest,
Now the next set should be close to being flipped, hope you got better at cloning, take 7 , keep best 6 ,
Get the idea? 4 or 5 at a time will give you more room for errors.
I run 4 plants in a 4x4 area n found it works best for me , because I can work n water around the plants easier . 5-8 made it harder . If I didn’t have to worry about numbers I would have 64 plants in the same space .

I like nets , helps to even out canopy, you need a dense even canopy to max yields .
I’ve used 3-8” I’ve settled with 4”

Room is currently going through a make over, here is 25% of my room,
23days in. Normally they’d be bigger , but I’ve been planning this reno and did some plants small n been changing veg times so I’d be able to move plants in n out as I work.

All you will need is 2 tents, and fuck the carbon if your legal.
fuck mother plants, just grow seeds in your veg tent, as they only take 4 weeks till bloom time. (clones take longer)
In a tent your pushing it with a 1000 watt HPS as far as heat goes (Why tent for bloom, makes sense for veg, but not bloom)
Do you rent or own your home?
Fuck soil also, go hydro.

Your plants look great. 4 plants really fills that 4x4 out. So would I run 6" filters and a 6" fan, or would I need to use a larger fan to pull enough air? I like what you're saying about pulling clones off my mothers.

I'm not too concerned about hitting my plant limit right now because I literally probably don't have enough space too. If I didn't have the restriction on my plant limit I think I would just do a SOG, when I renew my prescription in a few months I will probably ask to up my daily limit, then another 6 months for my new growing permit. It's a long wait.

Jim, the carbon filter is more so to keep the wife happy then anything.

I'm planning on running my ballast at 750W during flowering.. if heat is too much I can try 600W.

I'm renting this place from a close friend, he's cool about everything but it would be a lot of work to wire anything up here for somewhere I'll probably only be another year. I'll be buying in the near future and I will be sure to have one hell of a dedicated space to grow in. Until then though I have to make due with what I've got and learn as much as I can along the way.

As far as soil growing goes, I was thinking of going the coco route on the next one. I just wanted to make this first go easy and try and have a successful first harvest.

6” can filter would be good in each tent,
I would go with a 8” fan n use the controller to turn it down for noise n speed, you don’t want to pull the air to fast, n the controller really helps with sound.
If you want to take it a step ferther , you can add mufflers n sound box’s etc .

4 plants works really well in 4x4, just got to veg longer, if I could get at both sides , I’d probably do 8 , but that’s the fun of growing. Figuring out what’s the best for your limit, style , space etc .

With the hight of tents n hid lights ,3 315 in a 4x4 would pull good numbers, let you run closer to the tops n run cooler .
