Hi there.
I'm a first time grower, and I am growing white widow seeds.
I have encountered a serious stem problem.
One day the stem cllapsed all the way down.. and after I tied it
to a stick, the next day it bend over again this time from the top.
What's wrong? and what should I do? is this reversable?
Thanks anyway!

looks like it is stretching for the light. might not be getting enough. i had this happen one time and i just let it lay there, soon enough it pumped up its stem and stood back up on its own...but this wont happen if your not getting enough light during the day. good luck

Hi, thanks for your quick answer.
I'm not sure about the light, because it's getting loads of it.
But if I'll try moving it to some more light, woud it straighten itself up?

How far down is the dirt in the pot? If it's not all the way to the top the sides might be casting to much of a shadow in the morning and night making the plant stretch for mid-day sun.

i have had this problem since day one.
u wouldnt believe all the crazy contraptions i set up just to keep my plants from tipping over.
i have one now thats about almost 3 feet tall and looking like its about to bud.....yet te stem is not even a half an inch in diameter. and im scared i have to be very careful. i think mine it due to the lights i put it on. cuz i have good soil and nutrients. and all of mine grow with weak stems. i look at everyone elses pics and thier plants are short and stocky. mines toooo tall and skinny.

most u can do is if i were you get a popcicle stick and set it in the dirt next to the plant and get reallllllly thin string and tie it to the stem at the highest point. if i were u also id leave the lights on it all the time until u see it start to come up on its own. but keep in mind they are babies and they need our help.
