Hi all, I have got 9 WW x BB (female seeds), they are 2 weeks in to flower after 3 weeks vegging, i didn't expect the amount of stretch since being repotted, however i noticed the bud formation seems to be a little behind too for what im used to, (Indica dominant). My first time with this strain, only just starting to see bud sites appearing @ 2 weeks , they're already 85cm high inc. 18l wilma pots they're in and 6 weeks at least left to go. HELP PLEASE ANYONE!!! Is this stretch gonna continue or will that be pretty much it and now she will concentrate on producing flowers?? I HAVE HEIGHT ISSUES SO ANY HELP ASAP GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!! shall i top them now?? is is too late to top them now? if i was lollipopping, i would do it now so is it the same for taking 6 +/- inches off the top??

They are in a 1.2m x 1.2m x 1.8m tent but i have had to 'shape' the tent to suits it's environment, hence it is this shape /\ at the top, greatly restricting the height i have available. Using 600w hps atm. Should I switch to L.E.D. ??? (never used one before). outer plants in 3 x 3 formation are the taller but 2 of 3 under light (middle row), are much shorter and may not even be a problem, however the outer ones are pretty much up to the shade, 1 will be colliding with filter shortly, another with the in-line connected to it.. etc. Hope someone understands my issues and maybe help me resolve them. Thanks guys.

They will go through a period of explosive growth early in flowering, just as you have described, and get significantly taller. The leaves will be a bit smaller and it will seem like the top has stretched itself out. This is normal in my experience. I would definitely not top it once it is in flower, you don't want to stress it and chopping the top off is pretty traumatic. Maybe try some LST and start to tie them back a bit if you are worried they are going to grow into the light.

Yea the growth will be normal, the best thing to do is to try some LST to get everything under control, but don't go hacking away at anything, that will cause the plant to go into shock and possibly throw some hermies your way.

i will probably be ok as to them growing into the light, its going up past the shade as i cant raise it any higher, its @ 110cm from floor, plants around sides are 85cm +/- but ones directly under light are only 40-45cm, all had exactly same conditions throughout.

they are in soil-less gold label pro-mix prebought + fed on advanced nutrients.

thanks for speedy reply mate.

I recently lollipopped them, took some clones that incidentally i may not keep now lol, hope it is enough stress to slow em down, had 5 different strains in my last grow, doc'd on here, and not one went anywhere near the size of these 'trees', and that was at the end of flowering let alone 2 weeks in. Regarding tying them down, the stalks on these girls are like clipper lighters... at the top, so dont think they would bend that far over.... seriously dude, its a first for me and i've grown some trees over the years, admittedly not in these cramped conditions, with more forethought and i would have probably and still might, flower the clones I have now and unforunately and i hate to say this, let alone do it, cull the current 9 and start fresh, setting me back a couple of weeks but hey, not a total loss as it were?????

DECISIONS, DECISIONS........HELP!!!!!

nice looking plants what lighting are u using ? and how many plants do u have in that area?
thanks dude, there are 9 in there under a 600w hps, a bit crowded i know but i really didnt think they would have gotten as big as they did as quick as they did, kinda hoped they would stay like my other strain, belladonna, again, 9 under a 600w hps.

not one over 2 ft, with excellent internode spacing whereas the ww x bb were 4ft tall by this age (6 weeks) and stretchy as hell, though i seem to have 3 different phenos in the ww x bb room and 2 phenos in the belladonna room plus the one 'freak' in the centre who decided to flower herself at 2 weeks from seed... i dunno???????
