Sensi Grow Part A & B

So I just picked up these nutes for my 5 gall DWC buckets. The bottle says a dosage of 600ppm and the online nutrient calc is saying 1040 ppm for weeks 1-4 of vegetative growth. Isn't this way too high? I was under the impression that around 300 would be good for clones, which is what my clones are currently at. Should I raise the PPM's according to the calculator or keep them low?

That is indeed way too high. Advanced nutrients base products such as sensi A+B and GMB are excellent salts, but they are notorious for totally overdoing it on their nutrient calculators (they are also notorious for overmarketing their absurd amount of additives, but we'll leave that one alone for now).

I like to start my first week of veg at around 200-300 PPM, and slowly climb by 100-200 each week of vegetative growth. 300 is good for healthy rooted clones. I even go a bit lower than that to start and build my way up every week.

My experience says keep them low, and bump them up every week by as much as you feel is safe. In my experience, 200ppm increase weekly is perfect. Good luck!

i threw away my advanced.
Well, I'll use them myself and judge the performance before I do that.

@stillcantroll, thanks man I appreciate the info, that's pretty much what I was thinking originally. Sure enough, I go to one of the local patient centers, guy there tells me blah blah blah "get all of advanced nutes, they will make all of the diff, blah blah" next thing you know I go downtown to the grow shop and dude is telling me no, stick with what I've got, don't get any extra bullshit nutes for Veg, as long as you have A & B with some bacteria, in my case Voodoo Juice (expensive mo fuckin' shit), you are good to go.
So, I'm running A & B with Voodoo Juice for my first couple weeks of veg, then flipping to straight A & B for the rest of the time.
I can see roots penetrating the through my 3 inch nets!

I am about to be in week three of flower and just now getting to 1100 ppm. Like everyone else I increase by 200 ppm every res change and shes doing great. All the additives aren't necessary. Sensi Bloom A and B, Voodoo and Bud Candy for carbs. Thats it. Just read the plant shell tell you if shes hungry or if your feeding to heavy.

I am now in week 4 of flower in my first grow and i used Sensi grow and are currently using Sensi Bloom.

The reason i have chosen to use these is because of the fact they are PH Perfect. Saves messing around with Phos Acid / PH Down as i would have done if i didn't.

I have had slight brown tips all the way through (i was a bit generous with my measurements), but take it from me, if you want to grow large plants, then they have worked this time.

I am starting a journal on PH perfect... does it work as described? I am going to add adjust to ppm and never touch the PH to see if it indeed does work.

My tap water is 6.2 PH / 10ppm. After I add A + B, big bud, sensi calmag, bud candy, rhino skin, my ph settles to 5.8 and climbs a point or so a day. I top off the buckets everyday with new water and add a squirt of diluted ph down(always mix the same strength). I don't even need my blue labs tools anymore. I run the listed nutes @ 75% strength. New clones @ 250-300 and 800ppm of veg for week 1 flower.

it has seemed to work perfect so far, the only thing i would recommend would be don't follow the stated measurements, Advanced Nutrients tend to over do it with their amounts stated. I haven't yet - week 5 - had to use any ph down, it has been good, maybe a little nute burn due to using the stated - overgenerous - amounts on the bottles.

bio root sure. Im not sure what biothrive is but if it has beneficial microbes or anything living in it... beware of algae issues & such.

I use Sensi Grow & Bloom with Cal-mag & Dutchmaster Zone but going to switch to Sensi Grow & Bloom with Dutchmaster Silicia & B-52 & Kushie Kush & Dutchmaster Zone & Some kind of root nute~
