    hey,
i am just wondering what the light cycle should be for new seedlings..or sprouted seeds?
i have them on 24h constant light... so when should i switch to 18/6 ??

dont i want 24 for now, so they can grow as much as possible?

i have mine on 18/6. they like to sleep a little. it gives them energy to grow.

The light will provide heat to the soil, but I do not germinate under light. I germinate in a dark warm place. I move them to soil only have they have sprouted.

I use 18/6 for the whole veg cycle. From the day I put them in the dirt. Works great for me. However, I use CFL's which generate almost no heat (and are cooled).

i had one on 20/4 and within about 26 days it showed sex from seed. every seed is different as is the light cycle that benefits each seed. right now i got a seedling that looks to be growing quite slow due to the lighting im doing(my mom goes in my room often) like 6-10 hours on sometimes a day without but im actually letting it go now under lighting about 18-20/6-4 and its probably good to give your little one some rest like we have it. keep the morning and night the same(preferably the morning)
