Seedling into dwc?

Doing my first dwc, 3 and half gallon bubble bucket with 14 ounce air stone, running a 400w dimmable hps. Using lava rocks as a growing medium. Tonight I'm gonna germinate my seed. At what point can I actually put it in the net pot and how long till I have to add nutes, using gh nutes.

Once the root sprouts 1/4 or so it's time to put it in. It's easiest to use a rock wool cube, but not totally necessary. The sprout is the root, put it facing down. Put the rw cube in the lava rocks with just the top showing. Fill the water level up to 2 inches into the bottom of the net pot so that it wets the rw cube. No nutrients at first, then once the plant gets a few inches tall, add 1/4 strength nutrients. Then add more as the plant gets bigger. Too little is better than too much. General Hydroponics brand nutes are good. Adding API CO2 Booster will help prevent root rot and algae. It's amazing how fast the plants will grow in DWC buckets. Have phun.

Nute right away 1/8th strength ofwhat your nutrient manufacturer says.

I wait till theres a bunch of roots since i use 6inch netpots.

I use an aerocloner for seeds. So much simpler. Faster growth. No rockwool to buy and fuss around with.

Because i wait till the tap root gets an inch long and i use 1/3" thick neoprene.

I rest the seed atop and snake the root thru to the bottom. Then i put it in the netcup. Imma take pictures of the process when I get home.

I germ in 2" square peat pots using seedling starter mix, set in a germination container ( Tupper ware).
Then I place the cube into my net pot after 3 days, and away it goes. I have found this way easier to transplant to stone, with minimal root damage
If you use rock wool, DO NOT forget to soak the wool in a 5.4 PH liquid, and I use a light formula of clonex seedling starter and root booster and Cal Mag right from the start, as wool has zero nutes.
