seedling in aero

obviously this is my first grow trying aero and I wasn't sure how to go about starting out with seedlings...been reading around and see that some ppl recommend germinating using any method and then placing the sprouted seed into a rapid rooter. once the seeding begins to show leaves and roots wet the RR and take it apart leaving the stem, leaves and roots. place that into neoprene collars and go from there. is this the consensus? this the most sensible method??

You can make a dwc using a floating piece of styrofoam and a tray which will hold water...and an airstone with pump of course. Just do it until the stem is long enough so you can get a neopreme collar on it. No medium needed and no chance of tearing the root while moving to aero. You can use rockwool and RRs but why chance it...just my opinion...peace.
