seed vs clone

This may be a dumb question but am growing 3 g13 haze plants from seed hoping and wanting 2 bud my mother plants, iv done 3 grow before all from clones, i have been informed 2day mother plants grow shit bud small and some times have seeds in am starting 2 worry now, there all ranching from 18ins 2 12 ins, there looking good heads ever were bushy i ant had 2 tie them down or nip the heads as i did with the clones. all i want 2 no is am i wasting my time here ? will the buds be poor, HELP PLS
