SO i planted the seed in some jiffy peat thing and i looked at it today and i can see that the taproot( or whatever that little white thing is called) has come out but it looks like its arc'd over the top of the seed... MY question is will the seed right itself or should i take action and turn the seed?

That's the way it's supposed to come up. Watch and see. Better yet, take stop action photos of every phase! :D

LOL as its root comes out put it in soil and it will grow down and push the leafs part up out of the soil

the white root is staring to breach the surface... did i not plant the seed in far enough, do i need to put a little more soil over it? Sorry for how newb this is but there are not many good step by step for the beginning phase and yet it feels like it can be the most important part considering you can't get to veg if you dont properly get it to grow... lol... god i feel like an over protective parent :?

Sometimes the roots will try to break the surface first. I just throw a little extra dirt on top and it will usually straighten itself out

As long as it's covered with at least an 1/8" of dirt (I like 1/2" myself) it should grow properly. I bet it's got a little head poking out now.

Ha! I just realized, you're worried about a breach birth. Yeah, those hurt, may require a C-section.

As the little seed head comes up, expect there might be the hull stuck on top. You may have the desire to remove it. I would wait at least a day before trying it because you don't want to cause damage. Usually the hull comes off within a day or two of the sprout breaking the surface of the soil. HTH. :)

yeah lol ... it looks really good its about 5 days from when i first planted the seed after soaking it in water for 1/2 a day or so... looks really cool all nice and green... The one cyto leaf still has a little stuff on the tip which is causing that cyto leaf to droop down a little .... hope thats not really a problem but it does not look like it is. Its about two inches above the ground.. So i think all in all it is doing ok.. Soon comes the hard part of soil, but tomorrow im gonna go get some fox farm i think and then after a couple weeks start adding the nutes to the soil myself... so much work ahead lol.

Wow now i got an issue... while admiring my little sprout i saw i small yellow quick bug crawling across the plant... anything i can do about it right now... While chasing the elusive bug with tweezers... my GF noticed the white root coming out the bottom of the peat pot ( its curled around because obviously there was basically no room underneath the jiffy peat pot) ... So i am guessing that means i need to plant it ASAP .... However since it is through the netting around the jiffy peat pot should i just cut the netting around the sides and leave the bottom part as much alone as possible? any helpful suggestions
