Seed germ documenting

So I've been having soooo much trouble getting my seeds to germ so I thought I'd try a different attempt at it and document the progress, basically here's my grow area (fridge), I know the led setup isn't the best thing for seed germination but its the best way I can create enough warmth in a controlled environment and due to this I have come up with an idea of a small container(holding seeds) in between 2 black pots which should be plenty dark enough for germination. If anyone can see any potential problems feel free to shout out.

To be honest you are doing too much. Here's the method I've used from day one. But to make it easier you could just plant straight into the medium
Items needed:
Tupperware
Cheesecloth or paper towel (cheesecloth is better imo)
Distilled water
Spray bottle

Fold cheesecloth in half so theres two layers. Wet the cheesecloth. Shake out excess water. Lay in Tupperware flat and put seeds on. Fold the cheesecloth over the seeds and if there is any excess water in the Tupperware after that, gently pour it out. Wrap Tupperware in towel or a T-shirt or something (Optional). Put Tupperware in a dark place. Room temperature is fine. Just make sure it isn't cold. Check seeds every 24 hours. When it gets a little dry, spray with distilled water and gently pour out any excess water. In a couple days they should hatch. I've used this method from day one and it works about 99 percent of the time. You gotta remember. These seeds are tough. They are meant to grow outdoors in the wild. And you don't have to put it by a heater or anything

I need the heat source due to the country I'm in. Its very cold this time of the year and room temp can become very low hence the led being on for warmth.

Ok so today's update: some seeds are showing signs of popping and one has a tap root inside the crack so hopefully tomorrow I'll find a germed seed

Iam not a gardener but i make it so:

put some seeds in warm water (~24 Celcius) for 1-2 days (place in a walk-in cabinet) after 1 day, put it out and lay it on the soil and take a pinch of earth on it, since i do this, it works fine. For a year ago a gardener says to me; "i dont understand why people make this so complicated, in the nature the seeds falling dawn and sprout" he says also: normally you take the seed and throw it away, end.

greetings

Why don't you order some Rockwool cubes and let the seeds sprout from there?

Super cheap option and it's almost foolproof just need to keep them in a dark place with a decent temp.

Seeds can grow a lot easier if no one is constantly exposing them to dry air and light to see if its growing....

Just let the roots pop!

I actually switched off now, I use a stir plate to germ.... Sounds insane, but we built it for making starter yeasts for homebrew, b4 simply buying one. I toss a seed or 2 in some RO water, let it spin up, and within 3 days or so, they are going into a root riot cube tap root down...

(I have switched off of rockwool and back to root riot cubes... rockwool seemed to be slowing my plants down, too damn wet, early veg lasted for-fucking-ever))

Thanx for all the input guys, so far this has been the first process that has shown signs of growth so I'll keep at it for now and see what happens. Like I said originally I have tried both ways natural/unnatural with fail so I changed it up a bit and controlled the plan a bit more intensely and so far its looking good. I'll check in another day or so the make sure they don't grow too much

I was tempted trust me but I'd rather spend as little as I can as I already have spent a lot in the past for getting what I need to grow

Trust me I understand. I'm now in the same boat as you are financially. I've officially spent as much as I'm going to spend until I see some returns on investment.

I'm very hopeful that the first yield will be enough to get me out of my initial investment hole and add some healthy profits on top. I hope it works out like that anyway....

Yes same here but I'm not selling tho, I'm growing bcoz I enjoy smoking aswel as the fact that it helps my asthma and keeps the stress levels down but the growing part itself is my favorite even if I only get a gram or 2 I won't mind.

im with you believe it or not. I don't smoke. Well I can't smoke actually. I decided to get into this hobby to learn something new and to get the chance to grow some truest beautiful and rare colored strains of plants. The biz side of me won't allow me not to at least make back my initial investment tho
