First conundrum:

I want to use a T5 with red spectrum from veg to chop. Because space is limited, I need to control the heat. I can't have it 90 degrees in this small space of 2x4x5.

Choice between 2' T5 with 100W enough for one plant or 4' T5 with 200w for two plants but with that I gave a sneaking feeling it will be 90, in no time.

Vertical growers what do you think?

Thank you for your post.

Pic of what?

I'm still in conundrum over the light for this purpose. I had to shutdown and get rid of all my gear two years ago. I'm starting over in a very small space and wish to leverage the empty space. I also live close to the space, so temperature control is mandatory.

What I'm curious about, is will the 2' T5 100W suffice, when it comes to the point where going vertical happens?

This is special circumstance..while not forever, it is the reality and I must go with.

I prefer to not go with LEDs because it would take a while to understand how to use them. Not in theory, but in practice. It took years to perfect the HPS grow.

You could do the t5; however, I would do a 315 hung vertical. Ceramic Science from growershouse.com has it very fairly priced too.

Thank you so much for the idea..I'll check it, I want to get this thing going.

What would you use for the vertical..trellis?

@ttystikk any ideas with this space?

Edit: I only see a conversion kit for ceramic science 315.

You'll want 2 bulbs of red, 2k-2700k, one of blue about 5500k-6500k, and one UV. Multiply that ratio for the total number of bulbs.

The main thing about vertical is to understand that you don't want to reduce your watts/sq ft.

It's the ballast and conversion kit only. This allows you to adapt a 315 to a cordset which you will need in addition to the 3100k bulb. That is the way...
