Sativa on the balcony in SouthEast Asia

I'm living in SouthEast Asia (HCMC, Vietnam) and I'm trying to grow some decent pot on my balcony. My plants have been growing for about 2 months and they are around 4 feet tall and quite scrawny. I believe they are Sativa plants: long thin leaves and stalks. When should I expect my female plants to begin flowering. I know that in grow-ops plants can be induced into flowering by cutting back the light. However, being closer to the equator the day night cycles are quite different here: Throughout the year there is little variation in the amount of light you get each day. It starts to get light at 5:30 a.m. and it's dark by 6:30 p.m. Should I leave the plant on the balcony and just let it do it's thing? If so, when am I going to see some decent buds? I've given it a thought to reduce the plants sunlight to about 10 hours a day by moving it into a dark room everyday. I'm not a very sophisticated grower and am pretty well letting mother nature take it's course but I am wondering where I am in the lifecycle of this type of plant and what could I do to get some decent buds growing? Of course I bought this stuff downtown and it's ditch weed through and through so maybe I'm trying to turn Mr. Ed into Secretariat.

THANKS in ADVANCE

Thanks for the response sofly. I'll take a couple of pics this afternoon and post them. I'm not sure if ganga grows wild everywhere - I doubt it because were in the dry season right now and it hasn't rained for over three months but then again I'm no expert on these matters. I like your idea about pollinating females but I'll wait till I get a real good strain. Yeah, I looked at the pictures on the site with regards to male and female and as far as I can tell I've got two males and a female. Yes, I've separated them. Anyways, thanks for the feedback and happy trails.

Well, i think now is the season... See ganja dosen't like much humidity, i think in Vietnam it's very high humidity along the raining season. But I'm sure there have to be right condition for weed in the region. Many leaDING SORTS ARE COMING FROM the South East.
If I was you, i'll force them into flowering 6 weeks before the raining season. You'll need around 9 weeks flowering for sativa, so it 'll be fine. You won't face problems with the sexing of the plants, couse the day is only 13 hours. Keep them for a week only with 8h light, after that they'll do their thing with no further care. Have fun
