image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Hey not trying to jack your thread just show you some of my girls. This is day 36 (Week 5 Day 1) update of SAGE n SOUR. I think they are finally hitting the bulking phase now. They seemed to take awhile to get here, I think I am on schedule fingers crossed.

So you're gonna cut yours around day 60-63 you were saying!? Im hoping that is the case I really dont want to have to run these for 70 days (unless they arent ready). Im just trying to figure out when Im going to start flushing them out and focus on ripening them up but I don't want to do it too early and lose yield by rushing them. So maybe I'll just figure about 63-65 days and just do a flush for a week this time and try to dial them in for next run. This is my first time running this particular sour variety so its always a crap shoot not knowing exactly when they will be ready and preparing for it.

But yours look good man keep those pics and updates coming!! What nutrients and medium are you running those ladies in?

I will say this is one hell of a stinky strain ehh? I dont know about you but I had to add another carbon scrubber to the room. I have the big 4 footer and it just wasn't enough. I went and took the one out of my veg tent and added that to the room too. Im definetely stoked about the quality and aroma of this strain its very very frosty and super funky. Definetely A grade so far. What do you think about her?

Did you get any of the other phenos in your room? The sativa dominant one that grows real tall and kind of lanky once you put it into bloom? I only had 1 like that but it was a PIA since day 1. It always wanted more nutrients and seemed to be very finicky if I didnt go full strength on the cal-mag. You have any issues with your nutrients and them lightening up if you didnt go heavy feeding in veg? To me thats been only downside on this variety is dialing in the nitrogen and cal-mag it seems to be a hound!!

No worries man, you can post some sns girls here, it makes a good comparison :) yours are looking good!

I'm almost on day 60 and started my flush already but I'm also flushing with some organic tea so there's still some nutes in there and also feeding the beneficial bacteria. During late flower the plants will hoard their starches and stop sending them down to the roots which feeds the bacteria, it's a symbiotic relationship, the plants feed the bacteria which help break down the organic matter and feed the plants. By adding carbs for the bacteria in late flower they stay active instead of going dormant and release VOC(volatile organic compounds) it's kind of a scent that your plants pick up on and triggers them to continue photosynthesis and extends the flower time = better bud.

I used to only go for 8 week or less strains but I can compromise with a little longer, one extra week isn't bad if the quality and yield are there. This is just a test run anyway to see what she can do and what she needs so I can pop my waiting clones in and have at it.

I could probly pull these ones now but I'm going and extra week at least to see what she can do for the next run.

I think I have the lanky pheno, very stinky, even in veg! I had gotten used to it but when I had some family over I realized how smelly it was even with the doors and rooms closed up, I don't currently scrub my air since it's legal in my state but I may in the future just so the neighbors don't complain :)

Took a quick shot last night, not a great pic. Here we're at week 8, at least another week out. Was out of town for the weekend hence the leaf discoloration as they got hungry.

I haven't had any issues with the RX Green Solutions at all, in fact I think it's worked fantastic. I'm going to probly try out AN Conni Bloom next run and if it doesn't blow my sock off I'm sticking with RX, their cloning product line is awsome and the Harpin Protein spray gave me great results. I also supplemented with kelp , FF Big Bloom, cal mag and microbes throughout the grow and AN nirvana and bud candy during flower. Last weeks if flower is just strictly Organic Mother Earth Tea, bud candy and nirvana diluted. Oh I also used FF solubles per their schedule at the lowest dose.

RX already has good quality bases with amminos, fulvic acid vitamins, micros etc so I think anyone looking for a simple feed program would get great results with RX as a standalone and their Harpin Foiler spray. They have some patented products and I think are as good or better than AN Conni but until I do a comparison I'm not making that decision. RX is a great product without all the marketing BS.

Yeah the Harpin Proteins they have for foliar application is supposed to be really legit. My buddy actually uses them on his grow and swear by that stuff. I'll have to look more into it as I am always down to try out new products. Those flowers definetely look like they are chunking up nicely since your last pictures. Im assuming they really started to swell up week 7-8 than?

I start off with very mild nutrients roughly half of whatever I used to get to that point and than use the pk booster around week 7 full strength and than cut off everything at week 8. After that initial cut back starting at week 8 I like to run just enzymes, carbs, microbes and water. I might try using the Botanicare sweet this time and skip out on the bud candy. Since I am using their base nutrients I might as well keep it going with their additive and hopefully works just as well if not better.

They look awesome though man!! Def good fading of the leaf tips inward is a good sign you are flushing those girls out properly which is always good to see. Keep the updates coming I can't wait for week 8-9 to come and watch these girls start packing it on. Awesome man, good shit.

Yea that Harpin product is sweet, the packets you get make I think about a gallon and is unstable after exposure to air so I use half a packet and seal it back up with tape, mix with 32oz water sprayer and LIGHT mist, I mean like 2 squirts per plant MAX, don't drench it on, the way it works only part of the plant needs to be exposed but it effects the whole plant. I use the leftover and spray my vegetable garden.

Oh I didnt know that. Last time I was at the hydro shop they had free samples of that stuff on the counter. I dont believe they carry their nutrient line but I didnt really look for it either, Ill have to check it out.

My next runs are going to all be amended by hand. Not gonna be using anything from a bottle besides maybe some stuff to make teas or using bio-ag or organa-add for micros if needed. Ive seen some amazing pot growing from these veganic/organic soils and Im gonna be going that route completely for awhile and see how it works out. Def put up some pics and updates soon as I get them started in this batch I got cooking up right now. Hopefully about another 2-3 weeks top should be good to grow.

What are you running for lights and containers on these ladies?

Im also gonna be switching to all led's from here on out and dumping these hid's for a little while. Been getting some good results from my trial runs using these kind led's at my buddy's house. Quality is superb. Only concern is light penetration and coverage. I got plant restrictions so idk if its gonna work out as well as I hope but Im gonna try it. Worst case is I got a bunch of led's to use for veg or supplemental lighting. LOL. Or someone can get a good deal on them when Im done haha

I'd love to do organic soil outdoor but weather doesn't permit up here. I like the speed and control of hydro and can get many of the benifits of soil by using soluble bio-stimulants. One thing that has perked my interest are these organic hydro nute lines, my hydro shop guy likes to experient with different nutes so I'm waiting to hear back with his results using organic hydro nutes.

I think LEDs will be the future for indoor lighting but they need a few more years of development and also for prices to go down. I've talked to some people that have used them, one guy said they worked great for veg but lacked a lot in flower, another guy said it worked for his entire grow but he had small closet grows. If you end up getting one you should do a journal and post your results , I would be interested to see it.

I thought this too but theres a few on market that Ive seen run neck and neck w gavitas and outperform hid's.

The bml spyder is legit. Ive seen tests and results of them outperforming hid and gavita double ends. They r def pricey but pay u back over time.

Im running the kind led's (got a super ridiculous deal) im running them for veg and they work better than i ever thought they would. Did a small test run in flower on small plants and worked really well. I def recommend getting the led sunglasses though these things fuck your eyes up big time

Heres a couple cola shots. Week 5 day 3 (Day 38 of Bloom) colas little bigger than these soda bottles. Gonna be some chunks in here!! This is the Fruity Chronic Juice just have a couple of these girls I threw into the room. So who says defoliation doesnt work? LOL. It sure does. These are gonna be the size of 2 litre soda bottles in another few weeks, monster buds.

Those are looking really good man, what's your setup like? How tall did you veg those and do you top or do any other training?

I just have 2 lights right now. Running sunshine adv mix. Added castings and perlite. Botanicare and couple other additives.

6 week veg. Lots of topping no training. Lollipopped and staked. Heavy defoliation. They are basically just top 1/3 of plant all chunkers. This what they look like under the canopy. Bottom pic is upper canopy and colas.

The only reason anyone would need to "train" a plant is if your in a small closet or something. Or if you are just growing a single plant or two in a scrog. Otherwise to me its a waste of time.

I think the best way to make your plant grow how you want is simply to top and just remove branches etc. This is all I do to make them grow super bushy. No need to tie shit down or anything like that. These plants are 32-36" across. And about 4 ft tall in the containers. 7 gallon pots. The fruity chronic i left in some 5 gallon smart pots I had kicking around. Just fucking around see if theres any difference between them when I'm done. I'll take the roots out and see how they look. I do notice that the smart pots root systems are way denser and compacted than the other containers. I dont know if this is because its a smaller container or if they just grow quicker and thicker in those pots. But they definetely dry out alot sooner and require more waterings more frequently. Other than that the 7 gallon container plants are actually alot bigger overall. No root issues on either one so I dont know if they are worth the costs, if you use a large enough container getting root bound isn't an issue anyways so I dont think they are really worth the price as of right now. Well see how they finish up.
