Safety packet for caregiver? Confused.

Recently, a friend with a MMJ card decided to make me his new caregiver/grow site location. We have filled out the proper "Change Form" and I sent it in certified mail so I also have the receipt. Basically I have a copies of the caregiver change form we sent in as well as a receipt for sending it in. Is this enough to procure clones from other caregivers? In essence, is what I have considered a safety packet in the same way that a patient who submits an application for
a MMJ card would or do I need to wait for an actual response from DHS? I really want to get a few plants to stick in my currently empty setup to start providing for said patient, but don't want to waste someone's time trying to do so if what I have is not legally adequate to make such a transaction. Thanks for the help!

Yes. But you should be up front with whoever you are working with so they know in advance, not that it is an issue, just to avoid issues.

Thanks for your responses guys. Its so hard to find clear answers to these kind of specific situations. Well..now the fun part can begin! I'm totally new to things here in Portland, so I guess i'm left with finding the clones on CL :-?. I will make sure to specify the situation with whoever I connect with, just so they aren't caught by surprise or anything.

Watch out for bugs, don't want to start a garden with an infestation. Best to start from beans IMO, or someone you know and trust.

Yeah I know, i'm just getting anxious to get going I guess. I had a little enough foresight to order a pack of autoflowering Afghans from a reputable vendor a while ago and they should actually be arriving in the next day or so. Main reason I wanted clones though is I wasn't really set up yet to be able to germinate and sprout the gals. However, I remedied that with a trip to the hardware store and some root riot cubes. I assumed an autoflower crop would be the easiest for my first grow.

It'd be easier if I had an already established network of other caregivers for sure, but I am rather recent transplant into Oregon so my social network it itself is limited. It's actually part of the reason I am just going to grow for myself.

About 80% of the clones I have gotten off Craigs List have been bug / issue free. The autoflowers are a simple easy way to handle a 1st grow. That way you don't have to manage light cycles and the autos tend to finish faster than if you started a regular seed. Locally there are also places you can buy seeds (mostly TGA stuff). Feel free to PM for details if you're interested.

Love TGA (Subcools) genetics. I would just love to get my hands on some Danny Boy!

I've grown a bunch of different TGA stuff. A lot has been decent but generally I haven't found the yields to be as good as I'd like (of course it could always just be me). I have some Jack The Ripper running right now and I have grown Agent Orange, Querkle, Deep Purple. So far I have liked it but it hasn't quite been good enough to keep around long term.
