Sacramento, grass valley, redding

I am looking to get some outdoor and greenhouse tips from people in these areas. I am a month in and started meeting some of my neighbors but don't really think their quality is up to par. Looking for some more experienced help and info. My partners and I are having some growing pains on our farms lol. Rep for help.

Well, I'm practically rite smack dab in the middle of 2 of those places. What problems you having?

Your late getting them in. Next year get the out door going earlier.

Gophers and water! Lol. I lost almost half to the little rats. The keep eating to root balls out of the plants. I just put out new ones in huge grow bags wrapped in chicken wire.

What strains work best in this area. Any local favorites?

Well, about the gophers(little fucking bastards)you gotta put down "gopher wire" under you smartpots or line ur holes with it. It is basically just 1/2 inch chicken wire.
As far as strains go, many different strains work excellent, as we are in norcal baby!
Just don't grow green crack or blue dream, if you want to get rid of it here in Cali, as everyone grows the shit out of those 2. But they do yield killer!

You should check out the outdoor page. And try to make it to the BBQ in Dec at Camp Far West lake. Lots of local farmers there.....what about you dirtsurfr? You gonna make the pig roast?...

I'm planning on it. Don't think I'll bring the Trike but we bought a 24' MH for things like camping and retirement,
then Dee gets Breast Cancer and all that goes to the end of the line.

I'm so sorry about Dee brother...*Hugs* for both of you. She'll pull thru, breast cancer isn't the killer it used to be, survival rates are much longer. Cannabis will help her get thru this....help both of you get thru this....

Pellet gun + homemade smoke bombs.. I love having fun. or, get a huge mob of ferrets, make them kill gophers in-exchange for joints and hash. Water can be a bitch if your well dries up, i suggest some form of water collection.


smoke-bomb.. carefully mix potassium nitrate, ferrous sulfate, sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), and sugar.. light it with cannon fuse and shove it in a gopher hole.. see what happens.! have the pellet gun ready!

btw, those smoke bombs make an awesome fertilizer too!
