sterile is you kill all bad/good bacteria. i use hth pool shock. dutchmaster zone works well too.

bennies are running beneficial bacteria that "eat" all the bad bacteria. you would use Prime for this. it would feed the bacteria.

i think sterile is simpler and more effective in my opinion

With nutrients. Don't buy that shit though. Go to a local pool supply and buy some Calcium Hypochlorite based pool shock. Mix 1 gram of that into 1 gallon of distilled or RO water. Use at 2-3ml per gal on every nutrient change or top off.

Pennies on the dollar compared to Zone.

So if my res is 25gal i take 25g of calcium hydrochloride and add it into my res along with my nutrients?

i used dutchmaster zone at 2mL per gallon. it's not horribly expensive. $13 per liter. would last a whole grow easy.

carolina is right though which is why i switched to hth pool shock (from walmart). 49%calcium hypochlorite.

i weigh mine out since i have an accurate scale. i use at 0.15 grams per 10 gallons water. or you can mix up a stock bottle per his directions.

heavy 16 nutes are super expensive, I couldn't see advising anyone to pay that much for each run.

I use the 1 gram to gallon ratio on pool shock then add 2 table spoons every other day.
