since u have had some time now..how would u rate this smoke? does it have the classic skunk smell and flavor to it?
Yes, it did during flower. After about 6-8 weeks in the jar, it sort of morphed into a fuel smell then mellowed out and smelled and tasted like Moroccan resin. It's difficult to describe because smelling it in grow, you expect that taste as the end product.
It's a really nice smoke and the seeds were really inexpensive, easy for a novice grower.

Just put 2 cuttings into flower with a clone under a dome in veg, gave another 2 cuts to my mate.
I'm not done with this strain for the foreseeable future .
I know a bit of negative stuff has been written about Special Queen or RQS, but honestly I must have got lucky and IMHO, this is a decent enough plant. Yield was high too.

My Special Queens from last year smelled like feet by the time they hit 6th month, sadly the batch was done by that time too hahah!
It cannot be said that SQ is a classic skunk, rather it's a new-day skunk with more Sativa genes coming from the Power Plant it's crossed with, giving the uber-high that only this strain has given me!
I'm incredibly intrigued to see how my new Haze, Skunk, Kush, Gorilla genetics will do euphoria-wise. I haven't smoked more euphoric strain than SQ ... In the end, I may end up in love with the cheapest strain RQS has to offer. And it is the only bank that successfully sends to the current country I live in.

Never grew the Kush, too low quality of a Kush as it seemed to me.

I might make a journal if I end up not being satisfied by the current strains I have. :)
In the effects, I am all about strength and anxiety, if weed ain't great it won't even get me. Surprisingly Special Queen has a bit of an underrated THC ratings, or I just did so well, but I swear it was over 20 % THC.
Not so many crystals compared to other strains, but they are elongated, swollen and can be both milky & amber in color, a special trait only to a very few strains.
At the price it's rated, should enough space be present a little army of those beauties is a smarter move in the long run anyway. :)
I am interested in a combination between horizontal and vertical growing with multiple lights. :)

@Orlando737
Royal Queen Seeds re-brand under their own names the most popular genetics in the world to offer a valid and legitimate bank source. I find them very worthy and yet great in the services they provide.

Thanks for that, very useful to know....:weed:. I'm doing a Power Plant alongside my SQ for my next grow so it should be interesting to note the similarities/differences. I've done their Special Kush a while back and it was good quality smoke, typical earthy flavour, high yield, but I let it take over the room, should have topped way earlier.

Thank you. I've been trying to pass this info along to others for years but few seem to grasp it. RQS is a great source for rebranded high grade genetics at a discounted price. For example, their Chocolate Haze, is really Chocolpe. Dance World? Nope, Dance Hall. But do the names really matter if you're getting good genetics? Not in my book.

I see, how is the high strength from Special Kush to Special Queen? That would be very interesting to me. :)
It grew in a similar fashion, seemed more sativa in appearance too, very fast and vigorous. After the switch it stretched higher than I thought so had to raise the levels of my other pots to keep an even canopy.
Flavour?. That term 'old school' which I hate using, but accurately describes it like stuff I smoked in 1970s, listening to Santana, ect..:leaf:

My special queen from last summer. She grew like a god damn champ outside. Finished first few days of October. Got 9 0B2C68CD-E928-42DC-A2CB-442FD3E78AE5.jpeg ounces off a plant that vegged about two months. Did lose about 3/4 Oz to mold.

SQ is definitely a very hardy plant for outdoors. Grows big fast and yields great. Big fat colas and buds all the way through. I’d consider crossing a lot of stuff with it for outside growing. Not the most potent smoke but solid. My pheno was more on the sativa side of the scale when it comes to the type of high. Didn’t satisfy many heavy indica fans but I enjoyed it a lot as well as many others that it left with a smile. Stinks strong of skunk and sweetness growing and all through dry. Mine has a skunk sweet smell with a strong spicyness that hits the nose. Taste is spicy sweet
