This is my second grow and I'll use this post to bring the journal up to present.

What: Royal Queen, Critical, Feminized
When: 10/4/14
Where: Seeded in Jiffy Pro Seeding Mix, 3 in sq pots. Premoistened mix, bottom water in trays. Placed in the veg cab under cover of dome.
How: 1 18w Cree led spotlight for veg. T8 overdrives for flower. Will be using fish emulsion (5-1-1)for veg and bone meal for flower.

10/8/14: Critical hadn't emerged. Brushed off soil near a bump in the surface and revealed a piece of bark on top of the sprout. Removed it revealing full sprout growing sidewards and down. Removed some medium from around the sprout. Removed humidity cover.
10/17/14: Things not going well (slow growth, very yellow leaves), switched out LED for 23w CFLs.
10/23/14 Growth has increased dramatically under the CFLs.
10/25/14 Transplanted to Vigoro Organic soil. Overwatered and soggy at transplant time.
11/06/14 Some nute burn and it has stopped growing.
11/15/14 Transplanted because it was barely growing at all, probably because of the soil. New mix is All-peat potting mix with vermiculite and the seedling almost immediately (1 day) greened up and added new leaves.
11/20/14 Six weeks veg, but growth if more like two based on the previous slow/no growth. The switch made all the difference, growing rapidly and strongly. All green, no yellowing.

11/29/14: Coming along nicely now. Considering this about three weeks veg based on appearance.

This plant has a powerful scent. Only one and the grow space is skunky with some of the smell leaking out into the surrounding basement.

Question: It will be flowering with a re-vegged, leggy Skunk-Haze. The space has a height of 4 feet and a footprint of 3x4. The specs from Royal Queen state that it will stay under 1 meter. What are people's views on if this plant would benefit from a topping? If yes, one or two?

02/05/15 42 days of flower. The buds have visibly filled in over the past seven days, she is close to harvest time. Approximately 1% amber/degraded. 80% cloudy. Going to wait a bit and see what this looks like day by day.

Armpit/Coffee, nice descriptions. Makes me even more excited for the cure and first taste. Not too much longer now.

I've been trying to think of words to describe the smell during the grow. Still fresh and growing she smells like dirty gym-socks or an old, wet towel mixed with pure skunk... but when the leaves or buds are touched she releases clear undertones of fruitiness.

You're right, it definitely has that fruity undertone when it's flowering and for me, it wasn't noticeably stinkier than my other strains during bloom but once I dried it and jarred it......omg -- straight armpits and folgers once I cracked the jars open -- and without a doubt my stinkiest strain. It was weird because I was kind of expecting the skunky flavor but instead I got this real deep earthy flavor........everyone loves it. Lookin good man!! Peace.

02/12/15 49 days of flower. Buds are really swelling now and spiraling off the tops. Still not showing much amber.
