Roots growing way to fast

Hi everyone, I have 2 3 week old kush plants and idk what to do, the roots are growing way faster then they should and idk why, I water properly, once it dries to 2 inches or about every 4-5 days then I water till I see 20% runoff, the ph is perfect, I don't get it, they say1 foot per gallon but currently my plant is 8 inches tall and it's now potbound in a 5 gallon pot, I have no idea what I'm going to do for flowering because these plants will fill out an extra 10 gallons in 2 and a half weeks to 3 at the very most at this rate, they outgrew the 1 gallons at 4 inches tall into 5 gallons and outgrew that in 10 days... Someone help idk what to do cause if it gets potbound in the 20 gallons in the middle of flowering I am FUCKED because it will be way to stressful to transplant from a 20 gallon plus I wouldn't know what else to out it in, someone help, look my plants are only that tall and the roots started poking through yesterday..... Also anyone want to buy any seeds from this strain for breeding, promise of insane root growth gauranteed..

What makes you think it's root bound?? And why are you complaining about having a huge root mass?,

What I suspect is that he sees roots coming out of the bottom of the bucket. So he is assuming it's root bound?

If the bucket in that picture is the bucket he is using, it's not 5 gallons.

When pot plants are planted in oversized buckets compared to the stage of growth they are in, they will grow roots first, and then put all their energy into top side growth. IE: above ground.

The plant you have is doing fine, it looks good, let it become root bound, do NOT flower until you put it in a real 5 gallon pot.

If you transplant it when it is completely root bound, you will avoid stressing the plant. Give it a few days to put down new roots in it's new home and then put it into flower.

You should see how much roots I get in a 5 gallon DWC, LOL!!!! You'd crap a brick.

That pot is plenty big for that size plant.

If you are buying pots, go with smart pots, yield pots, or some other breathable-fabric container. I've heard one gallon per week of veg...Personally, I have some 7 and some 10 gallon containers and end up with about 2 months of veg, sometimes less.

FYI: my buddy had root-bound plants. I knew because I could not stick my finger into the soil past the first knuckle.
