5ML/gal of 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide. Have had res temps as high as 74 with healthy roots.

any soluble myco product, plant success tabs, the shit is a commodity find the cheapest and use that, a pinch or two a week, don't use molasses or you will French finger the whole fucking shit show

Also I was wondering how do you mix you're hydrogen peroxide in? Just put it in your nutrient solution? Or do you add it to you rez separately? And if so before or after your nutrient solution?

What are some of the best ways to prevent root rot that you guys use
Avoid over watering and cold soils below 15c/60f is the best way to prevent it

all good grower must go thru this learning experience as this fungal issue,

like other mold problems has to be experienced to be stopped

good luck

Every time i see these threads I laugh. Pool shock? Ya that sounds tasty for your plants.

ALSO, h2o2 DOES NOT PREVENT PATHOGENS. Any dose of common sense will tell you that any thing corrosive enough to kill microbes/fungi spores will be strong enough to kill your plant. same with bleach!

h2o2 is supplementing dissolved oxygen not sterilizing your rez!

If you want to prevent root rot then brew up some tea or dose with bennies, esp if you are having temp problems.

Not one single person on this forum in the years i been arguing that there is no such thing as a sterile rez has every provided any scientific data other wise.

I learned recently that the molasses + bennies turns the N to nitrates which the plant can't use. FYI

every time i read somebody's posts that are wrong makes me laugh alot.

i guess you aren't aware that chlorine is a tertiary nutrient used by cannabis then. and also safe to drink by humans in certain ppm range.

sterile res is the only way to run hydro IMO

You continually show how little you know. Plants use CHLORIDEs not CHLORINE!

At no point is your HTH in a chemical reaction that produces chlorides. Most chlorides we use are from Potassium Chloride.

Where in this reaction is the Cl- you need?

Calcium hypochlorite reacts with carbon dioxide to form calcium carbonate.

2Ca(ClO)2 + 2CO2 → 2CaCO3 + 2Cl2 + O2

Exactly.

I add it last. I mix in my silica first, followed by calcium and magnesium since I use 50% R/O water. Then I add my grow or bloom, then hydrogen peroxide. Afterwards I PH it to where I want it to be.

To each his own, I've used food grade hydrogen peroxide with great success. It keeps my roots healthy and white. My plants do better with it than without it.
Only time I use beneficial bacteria in my grow is when I add recharge to a coco or soil grow. With that being said, it doesn't mean my way is the only way, the right way, or the wrong way... it's what works for me.

Plants use CHLORIDE
Group three nutrients (potassium, calcium, magnesium, chlorine, manganese and sodium), which perform their functions as ions within the plant cell, are often related to some type of signaling or actively catalyzing biological reactions. These activities commonly help plants respond to shifting environmental conditions, such as changing availability of water or nutrients in the root zone. While other nutrients are often tightly bound within compounds, these ions move freely in water.

Lol where did you copy that from, its impossible to argue with someone who is convinced they are right.

That quote you posted even said IONS move freely in the water. That is chrolide!!!!! not chlorine. when in the chemical process of you adding your HTH does it loos the ion and move freely as chloride to be taken up by the plants. You don't know, stop pretending.

h2o2 does even less than bleach, its used as an oxidizing agent with its main purpose as oxygen saturation. No one is saying your roots aren't white I'm saying its not because the h2o2 and because you are growing healthy plants which have healthy roots. But if you do ever run into a problem with a pathogen added extra h2o2 isnt going to help and its phytotoxic.

Bacteria was around for 3 million years before plants. Plants evolved into a world full of bacteria. If you aren't growing with bennies than you aren't reaching genetic capacity period.

So what advice would you provide to a grower like me who isn't having issues, but would like to optimize. What would you add/subtract? I keep it fairly simple in my hydroponics with Dyna Grow, Calimagic, and H202. Any tips?

I'm not 100% familiar with Dyna Grow but the main things you need are: Macros (NPK), Micros(Fe, Cal, etc), Silica, Aminos, Enzymes, and a fulvic/humic acid. If your room conditions are correct these will get you to 90% genetic potential. The rest comes from biostims (i.e. kelp) but also from bennies. Bennies and the root system work in symbiosis. The better your ryzosphere the better your finished product. I use bennies for protection from pathogens but also as bio stimulant generators.

Honestly the best thing to do is start to understand how all these work together. These will get you started. MB has a lot of info so start small cause it can get overwhelming. The YT videos cover biotstims and how Cal and Fe work together. If you do that you will know more than 99% of people on this site.

The hard part of hydro is finding ones of each of those that work for your system/strain/and budget.

There are over 6000 bio stimulants discovered so far. https://www.agricen.com/agricultural-biostimulants

Feel free to ask questions or PM me.
