I caught the Root Rot in my Bubbleponics and ran out of time dealing with it.

I put them in Fox Farm Ocean Forest, things are working out great.

Putting them in dirt will not Kill them.

Do you have a picture of the Root Rot ?

How is you PH? (stable) This is important.

The advised procedure is to use H2O2 (Hydrogen Peroxide) in your resevoir, look it up, there is a write up on this site which will help you.

P.S. - Putting your plants in Dirt should eliminate the Root rot problem.

The Root Rot is caused by low dissolved oxygen in too much water. i.e. sitting is water, like the rockwool is soaking wet.

So putting them in dirt solves the low oxygen because the plants can breath in the dirt.

If your PH is rising rapidly like raising a lot in a couple of hours, then you probably have Root Rot and Algae.

Then all you can do is try and keep it in check (unless you plant in dirt).

Physan20 will kill Algae, and you can even run it in your system at a low dosage rate.

Tell me a little more about your setup.

well theres not much to tell... its in a 5 gal tote covered with black and white to keep the light out... the res temp is at 18/66 degrees... they r in 3'' net cups with clay pelets and under a 400MH.. there is 2 tubs that have this slime.. 1s res is milky coulour and the other is cyrstal clear but both have this slime.. what about perlite?? do u think that will be as efective as dirt or wil it jus make it a breeding ground for this slime???

resinraider,

What is your PH like, that will tell the story. If it is stable, then you have a chance treating it in the bucket, if it is shooting up, you will probably need to go to dirt and then thoughly clean with Physan20 or bleach and start next time with new clones.

If you are saying use perlite in you DWC, I don't think that would be a solution.

It just sounds like regular Root Rot and moving to the perlite or the hemp would probably be just fine. (Good idea)

Sounds like you got it in time.

Good Luck! :leaf:
