So I am dwc, started in a 5 gallon bucket, switched to a 18 gallon tote when it was drinking a lot. Now I put 6 gallons in at res change. Problem is this, roots are getting to big to lift out of tote. I afraid they will rip from weight. Does this happen often. I veg'd 5 weeks. Which was to long lol and the plant is big now what. Time to consider a central res for a single pot grow lol

try the 27gal totes that are black with yellow lid, they are perfect for large plant dwc. i just saw them at walmart today for the first time and also they had a mini 15gal version.

Use a drill-powered pump to empty the res in place and refill. Screen over the end to leave the roots at home.

either get a cheap water pump to rez change but I always like to hand scrub the inside so I usually fix a screen to the bottom of the lid for support, sounds like a good issue tho and can figure out a simple solution, keep it up
