ROOM Temperature LED vs HID

I saw a YT video where a guy said "LED grow rooms perform better at higher temperatures than HID (in the 80s)".
Is it true?
I am sure everyone has different opinions. I am sure everyone is running different strains at different humidity levels as well as CO2/nutrient levels.

That said, figure out what works in your environment. I have found in a drier climate (no humidifiers), cooler temperatures prevail by far either HPS or LED. I did not see a difference in growing between the two at different temps. All my plants preferred slightly cooler temps (no matter the strain, probably due to less humidity). All my rooms have been well ventilated and run about 76-78 in flower and 80-82 in veg. If my temps got into the 80s (and they did early on in each setup while I figured things out), the plants would stunt growth a bit while in flower. Cooled them off and they would take off.

You are dealing with a VERY versatile plant. While the plant may grow its best at a specific climate, it can grow very well still with less than optimum conditions. Not everyone has a perfect growing climate or room but many still produce great results. I am happy with my results so far given my climate. I would like to try CO2 one day, possibly raise humidity but that is almost like starting over. I have it nearly perfected for my conditions and consistent :)

Very versatile.
I've flowering plants at 71f lights on 50f lights off.... that's cobs for you.
They're still growing lol
Every time I look at them I keep threatening to throw in an hps for more heat!

Depending on what you mean by turned fans off it could have a detrimental effect on your plants.

Extraction fans off means less air exchange thus less co2 replenishment.. very bad.
Circulation fans off means less plant movement so weaker plants and less light penetration to lower bud sites. Possible stale pockets around your plants so less co2 circulation and also more chance of bud rot. Also very bad.

If you want your temps higher turn the extraction down via a speed controller.
