Rollitup app, massive cache build up

Hello there

I'm using an android phone, Rollitup mobile app version 3.5.5.

My phone recently informed me that I was out of memory. When I checked the directories, there was a huge file that was being created by the Rollitup app. I thought I had screenshotted it but apparently it didn't save because I had no memory at the time, lol

The Rollitup app is downloading and saving every single photo to a folder on my SD card. I had over 6GB of data in the cache, I know that's not right...

I was able to navigate into the folder and view 1000s of photos from all my browsing over the last few weeks.

I'm starting the this thread to see if any others have had this issue, and to see if there is any resolution.

Thanks!

The app itself is from what I know never maintained and I've often told people not to use it
You can't even buy it anymore or find it to buy it

I will certainly pass on this message to the web developer
Is there a way you can stop using the app ?

I could. I could write a script to wipe that directory every two weeks too...

The app loads raw text a lot faster for me, I'm in a poor reception area. Using the browser is slower typically, but browser loads images much better. And the browser doesn't automatically save each image in full res to my SD card.

Hmmm...

I think there are mobile browsers that offer text only web views, I'll look into it...

Thanks Sunni, stay well! :-)

ya i mean someone may come along and have a trick for you,
i dont personally use the app because i know its never maintained, and i think it really hasnt been maintained since they first put it out a few years ago
so i dont have any tricks or fixes

but i did pass it on and hopefully it will get fixed and the issue will be resolved.
