Hi I’m new here. I’ve been growing for a little minute now, and I’ve grown with HPS but recently switched to the Roi-e680 LED. Does anyone here have experience with this new type of LED light?

The survey is sadly missing CMH which is the best alternative next to led, for those colder months.

Havent tried the 680 but plenty of similar lights. All white based led light seems to have a harder time getting plants to transpire as they dont emitt infra red heat; the problem isnt keeping heat down any more but keeping it up. You need to relearn how to grow a bit with led, keep to guidlines and expect similar numbers to hps on first grow, maybe a bit better if you have some chops and good environmental controls, separate control over temps and rh. Buds might also look smaller but they are denser and weigh out. But lets say that the conditions you can grow really well are a bit more narrow but once youre there it really kills most other lights. If you want an easier alternative go for cmh 315 x2. Or 1 cmh and a led next to it or around it, these things are easy to diy. Just make sure you control the heat. It took us 2 cycles before led beat the cmh in yiield per area, no we run booth, depending on time of year.

The spectrum on this one should be quite forgiving due to loads of blue; this helps fuel transpiration.
