[Update Day 33 in Veg]
Week 4 of Veg and I decided to "Supercrop" two of my bigger girls. The tallest was almost 17" while my smaller girls are only around 8-11". This dropped my canopy height down from 18" to around 12", so I should get more even light distribution now.

Also reconfigured/moved em around a bit to get the most even spacing for a level canopy. SSH takes 11 weeks to flower, so I can harvest every 11 weeks with my setup. I figure 3 Weeks in the Clone phase, 8 weeks in Vegetation, Then 11 weeks in Flower. Then I will have a continual harvest every 11 weeks, or about 3 months.

With my longer vegetative state of 8 weeks, this gives me alot of time to supercrop and top/fim my plants to maximize the most Oz's per plant with my 6 plant limit. This also will keep the height down on these tall stretchy sativa dominants.

Oh yeah, I started useing my space heater to keep my closet warmer at night and this has helped. I diluted the nute solution from 1900+ to about 1500 and the plants are likeing it.

The supercropping looks like sh1t right now cause the plant hasn't righted itself towards the light yet. But I'll take another pick in a couple days and show you the difference, fingers crossed!
There's a thread devoted to it here: https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/136974-super-cropping.html

Everyone who has tried it has never gone back, so that's good enough for me!

It's great if you have a long veg period, you only wanna do this type of stuff during veg and never in flower, no hermies!
that's fine, a little yellowing or withering/drooping, or some other signs of stress. supercroping is a fairly low stress training method, but there is still some stress, not enough to be bad, so you'll see some signs, depending on how much you do in how short of a time...take your time about doing supercropping, little by little is best. they're lookin good:clap:

I'm using a space heater also...

After 24 hours since the "supercropping", the plants are doing fine. Notice how all the leaves are facing the light now, I'm amazed at how fast these lesbo's can recover (yes, that's right, my girls are hot lesbians :hump:).

Anywho's check the pics, got a close up of my biggest girl. You can see the nice bend and how many more cola's it's gonna produce now.

Threw a pirate skull in there cause I like buried treasure, I'm kinda medicated right now so ... yea

Wassup robotninja, Just checking in on your thread making sure those branches didnt just erect themselves back up!...

LOL @ Hot lesbian... I think we all like hot lesbians ... Especially my wife

Keep the pics coming... when you planning on flowering?.. 2, 3, weeks? if so... How about you top the other plants and the main branch that you bent... I think you would like those results...

P.S. Your setup reminds me of my first attempt at this.. Cabnet style that was customized by me and shit... after seeing the results in the square footage i decided to go bigger for flowering... So i ended up using the cab for cloning and vegging.. I forsee somthing similar by for you by the time you finish this grow...

I would recommend grabing up the last of the dr120's around... seems like the growlab is taking over the market.... cause they dont seem to restock the secret jardin ones... Anyway... im medicated as welll and ramblin...LOL... good luck...

Thanks for the comments.

I have a separate area for my flowering, what u see in my pics is a homemade cab/tent used for my Clones and Vegging plants only. No way I would try and flower in that tiny thing!

Yea for flower I got a 2.5'x4' area thats 8' tall. Gonna use a single 600 watter for this. No Co2 for now, maybe in a grow or two.

I'll think about trying quicker strains after a couple grows, If SSH is as good as everyone says, I might not want anything else ;)

that'll be a sweet flower area...when you gonna flower? 4 more days for me. I'll show you one of the SSH now, you can see more on my page.

[Update Day 42 in Veg]
I topped all of the plants about 3 days ago and they have all sprouted new shoots. I supercropped the other two as well and had to use some rope to keep the bends from straightening. All the girls are into bondage apparently.

I did a res change two days ago. Now on 1,200 ppm's for nutes (I had nute burn in the 1800+ range). Also I was noticing some white fuzzy crap settling on the leaves. I thought it was dust but turns out it was some type of mold. So I did a 9 parts H20 1 part Milk foliar spray directly on all the leaves. Added a oscilating fan as well to keep air movement. The mold was caused by high humidy and stagnant air, so I added air flow and killed the mold with the spray. Hopefully there is no root rot from the mold growth, this is my first real hiccup.

I wanna let the plants heal/recover from all the stress of the supercropping/topping and the mold attach before I start to flower. I also wanna make sure the mold is dead and gone first, I don't want moldy buds.

If it comes back, then I will go for some Neem Oil spray, but I'v read great things about milks abaility to kill mold.

Canopy is like 13" tall, pretty even level thanks to my pruning. I say 1-2 more weeks then I start flowering, can't wait!!!

Plant's are looking good. Sorry to hear about the mold. I would think that the steps you took to correct things would keep it from coming back.

Looking forward to the switch to flower, although not as much as you I'm sure.:bigjoint:

Hey man. nice plants. i see your using t8 to vedge. i actually got some good info about t8s by accident. I have a journal going of the LR2 i sprouted on the 17th. I vedged them in 2 rows of 5. the 5 plants under 1 54watt t5h0 6500k grew noticeably slower than the 5 on the other side grown under 2 27watt t8 actinic blue bulbs(420nm). I had to switch the lights to even out the growth. I couldn't believe that 24 hours under the same whats of slightly diff colour could make so much diff. I'm telling you because most petsmarts sell these bulbs in t8 for dirt cheap. It could save a week over the course of a grow. My journal is accurate and my setup is very clean and well documented. this wasn't a placebo either. i don't have pics because i corrected it right away but my pics on my journal might show it. Def worth a few buck if your still vegging or next time. Good luck i'll keep watching

Kewl, thanks for the tip + rep. I'll try and get some blue bulbs in the next few days along with another light fixture. I don't have nearly enough light for all my plants and they are stretching to compensate.

The mold looks like it's gone, but now my plants have a milk residue and kinda smell like spoiled milk :-| I'll spray em a few times with just water to try and wash away the left over milk.

Humidity is about 40% now (was like 60%+ before) so I shouldn't have any more problems.

And while it looks like I have 6 plants, it's only 5. My biggest girl is supercropped so much so that she looks like 2 plants. She is a freak of nature and will supply all my clones.

here is a pic of the actinic bulb i recommend. This is the t5ho version over my aquarium. The t8 version is the same colour though so you get the idea. It is not actually a blue bulb but a bulb that emits blue light. a white bulb with blue plastic in front still emits white spectrum through the plastic. I got the 2 t8 actinics for cheap at petsmart. Her you can make out which 1 is actinic. Its 420nm spectrum. I actually checked my plants today and that 1 day that i had the t8 over the 1 side made thse plants bigger than the other and the other is to late to catch up. These bulbs also grow my corals faster.

Say, if I got with those actinic bulbs, would you have all of them be blue? Or go half white/blue? ect...

Plants look super healthy, the mildew growth is gone. The milk is mostly washed away as well. Supercropping and topping were successful, all plants have new sprouts and are bushy as hell!

I'm working on building my flowering space right now. Gonna use stinkbuds Aeroponic system with a few upgrades. I have the 4"x4"x4" tubes placed inside my ruffneck container to keep down water-fall noise and maintain a light free root zone.

On a side note, I hadn't calibrated my PPM/PH pen in awhile so my Ph drifted a bit out of the healthy zone. Went to the hydro store today and picked up some 7.0 PH and 4.0 PH calibration fluid and after calibrating I saw that my res was 5.2! Yikes... Note to self, Calibrate PH meter once a week from now on!!!

Also, up untill this point I had been running my Water pump 24/7. Stinkbud suggests a 1 minute on 5 minutes off recycle timer, but I had been successfull running my system 24/7 till now. But I realised this may be stunting the growth of my girls and some leaves are a bit droopy from overwatering, also the closer we get to summer, the warmer the res temp will get and 24/7 pumps create heat. So I got a 100$ Recycle timer set at 1/5 now. Cooler res temps means less chance for algea and other weird slimy stuff.

My Dwarf is finally comming around, and now has a chance to get caught up with the others. Everyone else remains in bondage for now.

Post pics later...

About the blue and white, I would use at least one white mixed with the blue. But I would say more than half be blue to get that helpful spectrum to sorta dominate the light being put out. I think a little mix is good, it's more closer to natural (at least a little bit).

So I got a 100$ Recycle timer set at 1/5 now.
Bummer... the website I order stuff from has $50 recyclers (non adj.) and $70 adjustable recyclers. They have great prices on other stuff too, might want to check it out. And no I don't work for them (if I did I would have a better grow room).

I can't wait, all this teasing talking about your plants. We want to see some green, haha :blsmoke:

If you go with mixed bulbs the results would prob be better. try half 420nm and half 10000k. it'll veg like crazy. t8 is very efficient even more so then t5ho. actually t5 regulars are more efficient than t5hos. kinda weird. At lowes they have a 2 bulb 64 watt t8 fixture for 28 bucks canadian with 2 6500k bulbs. cant go wrong. unless you spend the money and get t5ho. They have 48 inch t5hos with 6500k bulb in a 3/4 by 1 inch deep fixture in canada for 30. by Sunblaster. thats what i use. when i started the plants and they were small i used 1 fixture and each week i added fixtures with some of my pay until i had the wattage i wanted. t5hos will grow some high quality smoke. for sure. try looking into sunblaster. there cheap and they work well for me. no heat. good luck.

Sorry bout the lack of updates, I've been swamped at my new job and school work is really piling up. On top of that I have to go out of town on a business trip for a week (San Fransisco) so I am placing the care of my plants in the hands of my roommate.

I'll get some updates/pics when I get back and everything is up and running. I was gonna start flowering this week, but my new job dropped this business trip on me totally last minute. I don't wanna leave for a week and come back to dead plants. They are kinda like my babies and I don't wanna start flowering at the hands of my roommate who is kinda clueless about this stuff.

Arg, I wanna flower these bitches already! It would be nice to have a fully automated system where the light adjusts itself according to the canopy height. Or a automatic Nutrient/Ph/Res filler.

BTW, anyone know of any good dispensaries in San Fran?
