what do you mean? i know RI recognizes out of state med cards.but if you mean signing up a dispensary in RI with a out of state card no that will not work.unless somebody donates to you some meds free of carge(money transactions are illegal unless caregiver and patient are registered to each other)you really dont have much resources here in RI.

Unless I were to rent in RI correct? Are you saying someone can donate to an out of state patient? As far as resources, I meant in an informational kind. Sorry for that mid speaking :-)

you would need a RI card to be able to sign up a dispensary in RI or to do any dealings with caregivers/patients.does not matter if you rent in RI but have a MA card.a RI patient/caregiver can donate to you legally.no money transactions.

So to qualify for a RI card I need to be a resident? Just to clarify again, I can hold a MA and RI card and deal with a caregiver in RI? I just want to clarify the resident piece. Of course if I didn't have to move my family it would make things much easier.

RI is pretty strict.yes you need to be a resident of RI to get a RI card and you need to be a resident of MA to get a MA card.i guess if you have 2 doctors and 2 resident addresses (1 in MA & 1 in RI)its possible to get a MA and RI card.a patient/caregiver can donate to another patient/caregiver all they want as long as there is no money transactions.otherwise if you have a RI card you will need to add a selected caregiver of your choice (and $200) and you will only be able to do money transactions (purchase meds) with that 1 caregiver so choose wisely.or you can add slater/greenleaf dispensary as a caregiver ($25).or you can do both as you are allowed 2 caregiver slots on a RI card.
i hope this info helps.just my 2 cents but i have heard mixed things about simpson oil.i dont know if i would rely on it as miracle cure and only use that.i would probably use conventional methods of treating the cancer AND use simpson oil as a supplement with the other treatment.

All this makes sense. Of course I'm open to do anything I need to do (legally) to make/procure some RSO. Of course having an address is RI is much easier than going to Oregon or Colorado. This isn't an easy decision with a family but to do nothing is a disservice to everyone I love. I've seen in some threads that people in RI have been or are making RSO. Problem for me is getting the amount of bud needed. Too bad there wasn't a market for it. I'm just doing my due diligence as to what my options are. Talking on these forums is very, very helpful. Where it's new to us in MA it's great to be able to talk to people so close that have much more experience with it.

So it looks like the damn state of Massachusetts changed their care giver laws so that leads me only to grow my own stuff, WTF. I was hoping to get a jump start getting it from a caregiver. At this point they may drive me out of state. Wife and kids can stay in mass and I can commute. Why does this have to be so difficult all the time!! Are there any Massachusetts transplants on this board? Maybe we can talk.

im not 100% correct on this but from what ive heard from multiple sources is that for now you grow in MA as a patient.dont think they have caregivers? and once the dispensaries open you are not allowed to grow anymore unless you can prove financial hard ship like disability and whatnot and cant afford dispensaries.MA laws seem very shakey right now.last i heard you can posses like a 3 month supply but nobody defined what a 3 month supply is? im not too up to date with MA laws so i could be wrong.
