Seems like bunch of crap...

theres a regulation for every regulation when the point of legalizing is supposed to be its a plant and our right to grow it where , when and how we want. If the laws for legalization start strict they will only get worst.

for everyone who thinks they can still grow there own meds then lmk how such low plant count will get you meds when you actually need them without having to buy them cause your always going to having plants growing rather than harvesting.

going to suck for patients thats all... they get a whoping low plant count and will be forced to buy obnocious high priced meds cause its taxed 50 an ounce before it gets to retailer who then has to add 7% state tax and the 300 origonally they are going to want... all these taxes an fees go to the consumer not the retailer.

but hey, people anywhere can smoke it. i dont think people realize the money side of this.

it says in there only certain amount of commercial sites for distributing to retailers... this isnt achohal that can be mailed in from different places ect...

this is 2 or 3 places growing it for the retailers for have to pay 50 an once on tax ontop of the 100 an once being lowest its sold for to retailers... so retail is 150 ounce and then they gotta double that atleast so now its 300 an ounce minimum plus the 7% tax. who knows if these places will be able to do variety and how long it will take to get perpetual to even supply enough meds... sounds like monopolized weed money. state will control all profits and sales and what quality and quantity is destributed...

this will be a disaster. people though the first dispensary was bad lol... watch how bad this gets.

the amount of money its going to cost to start one of these commercial places will be high so i doubt the prices for lb will even be at 100 an ounce. also, we all know sweet rhode island. as corrupt at as can be so retailers and commercial buildings will be family and friends of any state people in charge.

the fight for legalization should be done correctly the first time...

everyone will be excited its legal to smoke for 21+ and egnore the fact that all the medically inclined people need quality meds and reasonable prices. this isnt cigarettes and alchohol where people if they want i just has to pay for it. some people need this medically and cannot afford all this crap they are throwing into the mix and instead of the option of a cardholder there will be one option and that is the corner store who sells 3.5 for 60 or an ounce for 300 +

i understand that we gotta start somewhere BUT just see that starting at the bottom doesnt mean we will go upward... usually things get more strict over time.

i can personally tell you after seeing many many grows and other cardholders grows ect that the 3 mature plants they wanna give you will NOT suffice for someone who needs marijuana for medical purposes. idc if they spent a whole season growing there 3 plants outdoors (which will leave with no meds) the money it costs to grow those 3 large plants will still be pretty high. then next year they will likely do the same and thats IF the neighbors do no bitch cause they growing lb plants in yard when there kids play outside ect...

I wasnt arguing with your or anything personal... didnt want it to seem that way. Just strongly opinionated on how things will end up thats all. It wont be the pretty picture alot of people see ***weed legal for 21+*** thats all people will care about and all that text will mean nothing to those people but the people who actually need the medicine purpose of it will be stuck with the shit end of it all.lets face it there is no med company who pays for your mmj prescription. Patients wont afford 300+ ounce and end up on pills cause thats what they can afford.

if people are not told that and do not realize the restrictions then the majority population of smokers wont be patients and will buy the high priced meds (in fact call it weed now cause this entire thing is for tax money and no to help the medcial side of the plant) and law will never get better but just worst.

Hold on let me understand this correctly. full legalization will of course be controlled and regulated to the point of death. it will ensure that only the rich and politically conected will be able to open marijuana retail stores. But the law allows you to grow outside now! fucking excellent. Although I am a patient and grow my own. What will this law do to medical patients? Will our plant number allowances be lower? i really need to know so i can either help lobby for this or against it. Will they Touch Our Medical Bill?? is anything going to happen to the 12 plant limit? any info will be nice thanku

If you actually read the entire thing you will see that YES it will be regualted however MANY things that were illegal and are illegal will no longer be.
Forget the numbers and just read the text.

I just didn't want my messages with attitude taken in the wrong way so i removed them.

I have been reading up on it. and the TAX of up to $50 per OZ. is for sales to wholesalers or cultivation by commercial companies.

Not the guy sitting home growing 12-18 plants for himself a few times a year.

Possession up to 1oz will be free from tickets arrest and you keep your weed(as long as you are not breaking other laws like DUI or some stupid bullshit)
SALE of up to 1oz to another person over 21 will be legal....... even outside of retail environments i believe from what i have read...

REMEMBER EVERYONE WHO IS VIEWING THIS!!!!!
THIS WILL BE REVISED AGAIN BEFORE IT GOES INTO EFFECT.
WE STILL HAVE TO VOTE ON THIS AS RESIDENTS OF THE STATE.
THIS IS NOT THE FINAL COPY OF THE BILL AND IT IS NOT ALREADY LEGAL.

the only good thing about that is that possesion of more then allowed will prob not be as harsh of a sentance. alsso the 1 oz limit is less then med limits and hopefully med limits wont channge. the 18 mature plants is pretty good but also bad if u have 2 patients growing together with 12 each. if a patient has a perpetual cycle of harvesting 6 plants every 2 weeks then that patient is now over the legal limit in plant numbers. all and al though it sounds like a good thing. now that the doj has stepped down this should happen more then likely. hopefully i can open my hydro store before then lol.

this will NOT effect medical laws. your CGs should still have the same limits with their licenses and the dispensaries should also stay open.
Medical will be the highest grade available. But there is no way commercial companies that get involved in this will produce the same quality as some CGs in RI.

There is nothing in the bill that even mentions medical laws being affected at all.

The bill does not say 18!!!

It says 6 plants, 3 mature and 3 not mature per person 21 older with a maximum of 18 plants... so 3 people living in the household to have those plants.

although it technically doesnt say about cardholders laws, why would patient cards exist if everyone is legally able to grow it. Why would someone waste the money and time to get a patient card when they dont need it to grow anymore.

the 50 tax is from commercial to retailer but my point was the commercial people will get there amounts regardless and then add the 50 which means it will end up 50 more coming out of the purchasers pocket.

currently, many cardholders grow in yard with locked gate and some sort of canopy over the plants... there is one person specifically known that has multiple cards outside and cops went there and they left him alone. Wish i knew that awhile ago BUT yes with new law there is no grey area about it anymore.

yes, plant count will be substancially lower to 6 plants total (3 mature) per household with a maximum of 18 total if multiple people live there. I believe the cards will no exist anymore as with all these laws they change all the existing laws for cardholders and made them legal for everyday citizens...

IF the medical bill does not get affected by this bill then i am 100% for it... it allows normal people to grow small amounts and smoke/sell/carry what they get off it. But IMO its crucial we do not get rid of medical cards because there are many patients who get free meds thanks to the situation right now who cannot maintain even the 6 plants theyre allowed under this bill... 3 mature plants will not put out enough meds even if grown outside for an entire season. Patients will spend enough money on meds during the season to have paid for it all.

its better than nothing but not worth it just yet... this is a bill made by people who dunno the culture so it should not get voted on and let them revise there limits and ect so patients are not forced to maintain a garden or buy ounces at 300+

Lawyers run the country...

They are a big brotherhood [think AFL/CIO]…

Some write bad law, and get paid for it…a lot of money…

Then other lawyers, need to re-write the old law, and write new correct law, which, they get paid again, a lot of money….Lawyers get very rich….

This plays into the politicians plan, [New York Governor/Mayor one of them] “Anyone that thinks MJ is for the patient doesn’t get it…” Loosely quoting the NY guy…

It never ends…More lawyers need to write more bad law, before it becomes the law…

We’re all it this together, and the damn expensive lawyer is driving the boat…

Sounds like a lawyer is gonna get rich… a bunch of them… along with all the politicians…which are also lawyers… Get it?

This bill is brought up every year however if you read the whole bill this is what it states regarding medical.

9-90
21-28.6.1-14. Medical use. -- Nothing contained herein shall be construed to repeal or
9-91
modify any law concerning the medical use of marijuana or tetrahydrocannabinol in other forms,
9-92
such as Marinol

The bill says 18 mature plants maximum. so u would need 6 adults in the house hold to have 18 mature plants. For all out legalizatio this bill is not terrible. I understand your frustrations completely. I garuntee that big comercial operations will not be able to grow or keep in stock the highest quality meds. the only thing that really scares me is if thomas c slater decides to open his "compasion center" doors to the public. That would fuck all patients that need over cause then your gonna have a bunch of kids buy up all the potent stuff in 1 day. it will be hard to have a reliable source of meds when everyone would be able to go to the dispensery

This is excellent and needs to stay in the law for sure!! the only thing im worried about is that 18 plant number cause now someone could get away with 2 patients growing 12 each in the same house. if the cops come by now they would say its ok but with the 18 limit i think police will be confused about medical limits as opposed to regular recreational limits.
Lets get this bill passed but lets all read the final version very carefully to make sure the medical cards dont get touched at all! finally the world is getting better. do u remember like 10 years ago wen weed wasnt even medicine and wen cops hunted down ppl to arrest them for marijuana and weed was still a big deal and a bad drug. Look how things have changed in only a decade. We can keep pushing for better laws still even after this is passed wich i think it will be no problem. LET IT GROW
