Revolver from Crop King Seeds

So, someone gave me some CKS seeds. This Auto-flower thing was completely new to me, and I was already growing some Holy Grail Kush and Sour Kosher from DNA Genetics and still had room in the tent so I figured "what have I got to lose?"

I have to say that I'm pretty impressed at how fast these things move. Here's some pics at just under 5 weeks from me, hamfisting the seeds, into some pro-mix. The plants are already at about 20" tall! I was only able to get 3 of the 5 Revolvers to germinate, but I blame that on me rather than the quality of the seeds (I've since been given another 5 Rogue Thunder seeds from CKS and they all popped with no problem.) One of them looked all mangled as a seedling. It ended up splitting into two separate main branches and both are as tall as the other two plants!

Here they are with the rest of the family They're the shorter ones in the middle, at the back. The Crop King web site says that the yield should be 250 g, but doesn't say per what. Does anyone know? Is it per 5 pack? Per square meter at 600W? Per plant? I have no freakin' clue.

I'm growing CKS candy cane auto and Northern lights auto.

Heres Candy cane .. they say 7 week flower but I'm thinking more 8-9 week.

As for yields, I have no idea as she is my first, and Northern about 4 weeks behind is my second.
The Candy cane auto is amazing, bit touchy at first though in my promix setup. The northern is a hearty champ, and doesn't ask for much, also in promix.

100% seed success rate 3 outta 3 so far.
So far so good with the CKS

I'll be following to see how revolver turns out if you keep posting her :)

I read through your thread earlier, some good looking plants there!

I have some Rogue Thunder seedlings from CKS too. I'm debating whether or not to bother cloning them as I have about 20 clones of some DNA genetics strains going right now.

I'll update in a few weeks when they're ready to harvest and cure. :weed:

So, the Revolvers are at 6 weeks from stuffing them in the dirt. I've switched the tent over to a 1000W HPS from the MH and 12/12 so that the other plants (two Holy Grail Kush and one Sour Kosher) can flower. The Revolvers have grown 6 - 8 inches each in the last 10 days, and are filling out a bit.

The two branched mutant isn't filling out so well, but it has two branches, so...

Here's the whole tent:

The other plants have been tied down for a week now. They're at 11 weeks from the seeds hitting the ground.

Very nice! Sucks that you have to go to 12/12 on the auto tho but meh. I keep my lights 20/4 atm, but I understand you have photo's in there. I'm starting week 9 flower today, and I think she's gonna run this week plus some still. Keep posting your progress!

I'll post some updates on my thread shortly, the buds are really coming out now. Been away for a bit.

Looking forward to seeing your updates!

The 12/12 doesn't seem to be hurting the plants too much, this is the difference in 4 days :weed::

So...7 weeks and here's how we're doing:

Buds coming along...

Two-branch Mc Mutant is filling in nicely:

looks good enough to eat! :weed:

And the rest of the tent is busting over with greenness:

Okay, time for another update:

These girls are at around 9 weeks from germination, and I think they're just about ready...

Plant #1

Plant #2

Plant #3

I'm pretty impressed with the results, especially since I have no experience with growing. Given these results, it may be worth considering an outdoor grow with autoflowers in the spring. Anyone have any recommendations for an outdoor grow that will deliver a good yield in cooler weather?

Put a jewellery loupe in front of a point and shoot camera: this is a close up of one of the buds from a couple of days ago...

Okay, so I decided to harvest my first plant today. This is the two branch Revolver; my first harvest and trim! Any feedback on my trimming would be appreciated. Also, I want to use the trim to make cannabutter, but I don't know if I should be using all of the leaves in the picture below. Also, if anyone wants to venture a guess on how much weight of buds I can expect, after drying and curing, I'd also appreciate it; because I have no idea.

So here's where they're being dried (banana for scale)

Some close ups...

Happy New Year! I harvested most of the other two Revolvers, so it looks like it'll be a happy new year indeed! I left some of the lower branches intact because I think they could go a bit longer. The majority of them have been trimmed and they look good enough to eat!

Anyone care to hazard a guess as to how much I can expect when it's dried?

Well, the harvest is dry and in the curing jars. The total of the three plants was just over 2.5 oz. Not bad for a first crop! The buds aren't dense, but light and fluffy. They are covered in resin, so you can expect to get sticky if you handle them much. If you want an autoflower, these aren't bad at all, I'm pretty high so...mission accomplished! bongsmilie

Well, to sum up:

5 seeds. Managed to get 3 to sprout - due to my own ineptitude.
Seed to harvest was about 9.5 weeks.
Dried harvest was about 2.75 oz
The high is stoney and relaxing with a chance of laughing fits. When I first harvested it, before it was cured, the stone was more soaring and "up".

This was my first harvest that was running along side of my other "first grow" plants. I found these grew pretty much trouble free, even in my inexperienced hands.

So, if you're looking for an easy start to growing, or just want something that you don't have to put much time into, then I would recommend these. I think they're relatively inexpensive too (mine were free), but I'd say that they're worth the $55 they're charging for them, if that's something you're looking for.

The Crop King site lists lists the flowering time as 7 weeks. I guess that means after the seedling and vegetative growth stages, so that would jive with my experience. They list the THC level at 13.67% which seems pretty specific, but whatever. I'm stoned and it is pretty good for pain management, if that's something you need; also good for depression.

Just to add one last thing to this thread: I made cannabutter brownies with the trim. Having never made, neither cannabutter nor brownies, I had no idea what to expect. Well, they worked, really freakin' well. So again, kudos for the Revolver.
