presentation

i have grown for a few years now, ive tried the mh/hps combo, also cfl in micro grows, ive wanted to try leds for a long time but they were just too expensive.
not that long ago galaxyhydro, also called roleadro released led panels that looked ok and had decent reviews and since they were cheap i decided to give them a try.

==============================================================================

grow room (very small)
  • 70x40x200 cm
  • 1 dinachem from dinafem
  • dwc bucket with 220 L/H air pump, dual output
  • plagron hydro nutrient line i used GH flora series for the first 2 weeks.
  • small carbon filter and extractor
conditions :
  • temperature : 22-28 celsius
  • 12/12 lighting schedule after 10 days of grow , cut after 70 days since first pistils showed up
  • ec : 1.4 in grow 1.8 in flowering ( it was too high)
  • ph 5.8-6.3
  • solution changed every 7 days

============================================================================

before starting the grow journal i want to talk quickly about those leds.

the 400w cob performs well, growing stage was vigourus, maybe a little less compared to a 400w mh but it might be genetics of the plant, also the internodes stayed quite tight.
the lamp is quite noisy to my taste, way less than a normal sized extractor but i would say it is loud as a noisy computer ( fan noise)
luckily you can very easily open the panel and wire the fans in series instead of parallel, this way they run at 6v and are very silent.
it doesnt get too hot, and the build quality is really good for this price, really... if someone wants some pictures of the inside i might put them sometime.

the biggest upside of those lamps are of course heat, they produce a little, the 300w is like a 125w cfl in terms of heat and the 400w cob like a 200w cfl, so perfectly manageable.

125 grams, with less than 190w of power consumtion, and its easily possible to get better resuklts with a larger grow room ( mine is tiny) and LST, but i think its nice to see the result on a less than optimised plant...

i think the results will shut up more than a few idiots here saying chinese pannels are crap, i was really happy with this one

feel free to ask any questions, the pictures in the end are whiter because i found out how to change the settings to get them to look less purple/ pink, which i didnt know how to do in the beginning

since some people here ddint know that imaging softwares exist i posted a gif to show the settings i used to make the light appear more natural, i kept the the first pictures from the post original so you can see the natural color of the lamp

yes i have actually :) it read 194 kwh, manufacturer says around 200-220w

i dont get why you guys seem to be sceptical, dosnt it occur that this pannel can acutally be good? i dont have any interes tin lying im just sharing my experience, i have another plant growing under it ATM i can get some pictures

i guess even with facts and actual pictures people dont seem to be ready to admit that you can get great results with cheap chinese lighting...

here is the manufacturers specs :

Size: 11.4*6.9*3.3 inch
Chip size: 45mil
Actual Wattage: 200w±5%
Certification: CE, RoHS, FCC
Input voltage: AC85~265V
Current: 600ma
Working frequency: 50 - 60 Hz
Working temperature: -4 - 122 ℉
Lifespan: 50000 hours
Material: Iron
Warranty: 2 years
Working temperature: -20°-50°
Package included: 1 LED grow light, 1 power cord, 1 stainless steel hanging kit

they are powered by 2 cob that are 64*3w LED's, you do know that a 3w led isnt driven at 3w right? its usually half the power , you're supposed to know that before making stupid comments

All I know, is roleandro has a cheap cob light, and then they sell ANOTHER model in the exact same fixture with CREE chips. You sure you didn't switch em?

First time I've EVER seen someone's blurple light magically become white light.
@HydroRed @Hybridway @Big smo @Rahz @Growmau5 @robincnn @a mongo frog

have you heard about something called photoshop??????

anyway heres an originla picutre BEFORE photoshop... (actually im using lightroom but process is the same )

i lowered the color temperature to the lowest settings as well as the tint to get the image to appear more natural.
it only works with this panel, i have another 300w led pannel that is much much more purple and i cant get them to look as natural as with this one, because the 400w cob has a more pinkish-whit hue to it

i made a gif since it seems to be such an incredible feature to you, just click on the link

BOOM magic...

i didnt know they had 2 models i got the onyl one abailable in my country. is there a way to know which is which?

mine cost 130€

I was looking at that light. Nice to see it does well. I ended up getting the Roleadro 300watt full spec and it's performing awesome.

125 grams for 190 watt isn't anything to write home about.
0,65 gram per watt.

It's not good.

At least it's cheapish, sort of.
But you can DIY a CLU048-1212 fixture that can easily do 1 gram per watt, for the same price.
Probably more power too.

Also what HPS did you use in the past?
HPS is much more efficient at 1000 watts, than 250 watt.
Much more.

Bragging about sub 0.7 gram per watt
hi!
im not bragging at all, i even said much better results can be obtained, thats why im really surprised that people doubt those results thats arent that incredible...

what i am bragging about is the great value for price with this led pannel.

We got a feisty one here. less than a gram per watt and sure thanks for pointing out that us idiots now have more motivation to shit talk less efficient lighting. NO ONE EVER SAID THAT CHEAP CHINESE LIGHTING WONT PRODUCE DANK BUDS. It will just produce less of them for a higher energy cost. That's efficiency
