results from Advanced Nutrients w/o using Hydroponics setup

I've only been growing outdoors and was given 250ml samples of AN Big Bud and Carboload. If I don't use these in a hydro setup and just water / feed by mixing into a watering can will I still get results or am just simply wasting the AN?? From what I've been reading everyone uses these nutrients in a hydro setup.. Thanks for you input, much appreciated!

Thanks! however do you know if this will effectively work even though I don't have a hydro setup? I'm obv using soil and water a few times a week but am curious me mixing in the right amount of nutrients per 5gallon will still effectively give me some sort of results! Thanks in advance!
