.. hey hey, i just got gifted, well, about 4 months or so ago now, a cut of this lovely, lovely lady, and chopped her about 2 weeks ago after a 12 week flowering time, and thought i'd throw up a quick smoke report..
STRAIN.. 4sd ( chem 4 x ecsd) by reservoir seeds..
LIGHTAGE.. 400 watts hps / mh
GROW STYLE... fox farms ocean forest soil
NUTES. mostly fox farms with a bit of cal / mag by botanicare when needed..
VEG TIME, idk, about 2 months'ish from rooted clone, in five gallon containers..
FLOWERING TIME.. i took her to about 12 weeks after the initial flip to 12 / 12.. probably could have went a week longer or so, but the smell was so bad i couldn't take it any longer, more on that later.
ok, just a bit of info on the grow. like i said, i was gifted this plant as a clone from a fine farmer friend of mine, as well as dr greenthumbs east coast sour d, and a bubba kush clone i got from another fine farmer friend of mine.
the 4sd and the ecsd both were almost identical looking plants, very hard to tell them apart by looks, even in flower..
ok, ok, i'll shut up and put up some pix, finally, i know..
ok, now i got a few pix out of the way, let's get down to the nuts and bolts of this thing.. is this strain any good?? how does it smell, taste, yield, and most importantly, will it get me wrecked???
yes yes yes yes, holy hell yes...
the smell of this strain is beyond over whelming it's not even funny.. i couldn't even begin to smell the ecsd and the bubba in the same grow the 4sd simply over powered everything else in the room, and in the house for that matter.. this strain is loud, and i mean really, really, really loud.. it's kind of hard for me to put a description on the smell though tbh, i'd say the biggest smell i could make out was a funky, chemically odor, with maybe a very small bit of pine in the back, but the chemical funk is what smacks you in the face on first whiff.. i can't say it enough, this stuff is stunky and funky, but in all the right ways..
high... i smoked about, idk, half a bowl with a guy after work and i was pretty stoned to say the least.. it starts off as a whack to the head, and slowly moves to the rest of your body in slow waves of euphoria.. very thought provoking, and good if you want to get all ocd with cleaning or w/e.. makes the worst chores in daily life a breeze, and the house has never been cleaner, what can i say?
what i like about this strain though is that it's not very couch lock in effect, and definitely more on the sativa side of things without being too racy and panic inducing.. umm, this strain also has some really nice legs on it, meaning i can take about 5 or so nice bong rips of it, and be ripped for a good 3 plus hours or more, which to me is very nice indeed.. no need to keep on smoking and smoking this stuff in order to maintain a high, but hey, if you wanna smoke more, have at it, just take it easy ime..
oh yield.. the buds on this strain as well as the ecsd weren't really huge cola's, but i topped both many times, and had many bud sites. the buds were more on the golf ball side, and very, very dense and weighed up nicely, even after a nice slow dry.... so while it might not look like the biggest yielder when you're growing it, once all is said and done, i'd say she's more then an average yielding plant of top grade aaa smoke..
