Repurposed wine fridge

Hey all,

I had a wine fridge that shit the bed and couldn't help but turn it into something new. Turned out it was the perfect candidate. Really easy to work with for a number of reasons.

1. Interior shell was plastic.... makes for easy cutting.
2. original fan makes for an excellent exhaust fan once you remove the cooling plate.
3. It was free since it was rubbish

The only problems with it were, that it was black inside, had a glass door and had no way for air to get in. It is a little small but its what i had.

First I removed all the cooling crap, cut a hole in the top, and painted the interior, glass door included... hopefully that fusion paint will hold on. I built an 80 watt led panel and flush mounted it in top, and vertically mounted some phillips lumiled strips vertically in the back corners and on the door.

For power i used the original plug, and wired it to a gfi outlet, a hardwired honeywell light timer and a 3 switch light switch. Each of the switches running to a different meanwell driver. I used 1 switch for the vertical lighting, 1 for the white and blue leds and the last for the red leds. A plug in thermostat is being used in the gfi outlet for controlling the exhaust fan. Stealth isnt an issue so i didnt bother with a light trap or odor control.

That could sit in the middle of your kitchen and no one would ever know... That looks like a fair space for a small cab too. 8-)

Thats where it is now.. as for space it is about 1.5 cubic ft. 28 inches of height inside, flush mounting the light was pretty much necessary.
