I have had limited interaction with "clinics". To me, it seems like a quick way for doctors to prescribe medical marijuana while still collecting privatized funds from patients (not covered by OHIP or other medical insurance). I find it troubling that someone who needs marijuana for a medical condition may end up paying substantial amounts of money to get a prescription when others simply get it signed by their family physician.

nobody should have to experience any of this just to receive medication ..

i was referred by the good ol family doc. he agreed with everything but said he couldnt sign for w.e reason but recommended a clinic and wrote a note explaining his referral. whatever. i went along with it, but that led me to here. the clinic states they cant provide info regarding registration which i understand they dont have control once the documentation leaves there hands but i have no idea if they have even received my registration.. I am human and could have mistakenly addressed the envelope , but the odds are slim. one would think that they would contact you after a week or 2 of not receiving themand let you know theyre still waiting if that was the case.

I hope your family doctor isn't receiving a "referral fee".

Sounds like a nightmare situation of being so close, yet so far. I hope it all works out for you.

It could be possible..
Although , I had the green leaf clinic on stand by in case my dr said no , which i expected him too. not because of him , but his practice. his father , and a few other older south african docs run it. one dr actually blamed my chronic nausea on cannabis use while prescribing me percocets. Needless to say , i immediately stop seeing him. idiot. this has been a good laugh for people and drs i have talked to since. pretty conservative office, but i gave it a shot and as expected he immediately " i am interested but unfortunately cannot". oh well...

So the clinic has contacted me and informed me they sent my papers off to mettrum on Friday the 11th. Wonder how long now until mettrum will see them and be able to confirm lol. no meds this week! hopefully we can get an order out by next Monday and i can see some medication within this month ! progress is a slow process , but it could be worse ! appreciate the support guys

Well I would say the problem is obvious. They haven't enough time to get a crop off yet. I bet they are watching those plants grow by the minute.
I don't like the LP system as I have stated. But I also have sympathy for you folks who need your meds.
In this case I'd say it is timing X a bit of stalling X start up glitches X desperation to keep clients = a business that works. That's the agenda there....business first. They are businesses, they need to succeed.
I'm sure their service will improve. In the mean time hopefully you folks will find meds to bridge the gap.
I think it would be wise to keep a couple of other irons in the fire for obtaining your meds. I personally feel these guys could end up out of business in the next few years. I for one will NEVER purchase from them. I'd buy black market before buying from LP's

2 weeks waiting for them to process an application? How is this even sort of ok? Do they not realize some people actually rely on this medicine to live, not just to ease discomfort? It only took Hellth Canada like 3 weeks to process my MMAR forms and send me my ATP it shouldn't take an LP more than a couple days really. The MMPR thus far is nothing but a massive failure, I feel bad for the people that have no other choice.

I registered with WMMC on April 4. Received a call from them on April 9th confirming they had my application and that my Doctor responded to their fax/confirmation request. They even took an order from me. It was sent out on Thursday April 10. I expect it to arrive tomorrow or Wednesday. I will keep you all posted on progress/speed and quality
Now is that too much to ask.......everything coming together in a timely manner......I'd be very interested to hear how the product turns to be

For real. That is one reason i try to remain silent , although i do benefit greatly from cannabis as a way to treat my chronic nausea and IBS from shitty anxiety ((no pun intended) i have and can live without it. I really feel for the people that are in much worse shape than I, and cannot live without this plant. Wish there was more we could do to help

Hi Beebell91...
I know it doesn't help ....but I sympathize with you....you would think by now...the LP would have this down to a day or so for the first order....
and with priority service....after all this is medicine....even at the pharmacy you would only be waiting like a 1/2 hour....to fill a prescription.
You think it would also be in any LP's best interest to please you beyond your expectations on the first few orders to try and build some kind of loyalty with their customers...
I bet they have not realized just how important that aspect is....
If you don't get satisfaction ask the doctor for a different referral since this one has not panned out....
maybe a few more phone calls will get you what you need now.....not later....
good luck....

Turns out Canada Post came by my residence with my medication. Had a family member pick it up and it is currently waiting for me at home. It literally took 2.5 business days for the package to arrive. I'm fairly impressed considering all the poor experiences people have been having. Let us hope the quality is there.

Hey dan thanks for the response. Absolutely agree 100% . this should all be a same day process. dr visit, prescription fill, order placement. the requirement of lps to have the physical document mailed to them throws a wrench in things big time as most people arent within a reasonable distance from there lp (from my experience)

I feel I should make it clear that the delay this far has had to with the clinic, and not the lp. The LP has received the documents today, so we will see what happens next. I would assume they contact the DR tomorrow to verify then call me to confirm and order. Im not holding my breath as my assumptions did no good this far haha. I have documented every step and will release a youtube video discussing my experience. Whenever i relieve an order that is.

I registered with tweed using my ATP. And it took almost 6 weeks.....I was told they would have product for early April of at least 15 strains....well it's the 14th now and still no meds,

I did see that they updated their website......and what a surprise they will only have 3 strains avalubul in April..but not sure of the date.

I called the rep and asked how they could be so close to a release but not have a sure date......nothing

During this whole process I was so adamant wit tweed about not wanting to have a huge gap in my med supply and if they didn't think they would be shipping in early April then I would look else where. But I was reassured that that would not be an issue........what's that saying? fool me once. shame on you..fool me twice.......

I guess it's too much to ask for a straight answer from someone
They all want your money so they will tell you whatever they need to get you signed up. I'd be asking for my papers back and go somewhere else. I guess the problem is limited places to go at the moment. This sucks so much. Harptler just couldn't leave it alone and go after the real bad guys. Idiot.

In regards to an update from WMMC, the product is really good overall.

Afghani Bullrider:
Came a bit drier than I would have liked, although was a nice smoke.

White Widow
Perfectly cured. Just enough "sponginess" for lack of a better term. Sweet and potent smoke.

Blue Dream
Also very well cured. I loved the flavour and effect. I was very very active.

I am still awaiting the Pink Kush which was shipped out yesterday (that was the first day that strain came available)

I don't mean to rub my experience in anyones face. I simply feel I am obliged so share positive experiences with LP's, especially when an abundance of them have been negative. Don't fret people, there are some good ones out there. Hopefully things keep going smoothly.

great attitude! your right, greed is effecting the early l.p.
imo give it a yr and youll all find the best for the cause and those who suck, tweed p.n or whom ever, the best will rise to the top!

Cool to know that you got your dollars worth in service and product! i dont think anyone will feel your rubbing it in there face.. There is such a lack of knowledge about whatt these lp s are offering product wise, weather it be what it actually looks like or tastes like and works like, that i think everybody who has a experience should offer insite to make the decisions easier for other patients.
