Regeneration?

If you want to save a strain it may be the only way. Right now I have a strain I call Blueberry Muffin. The first couple of runs I really wasn't impressed. This last batch is looking awesome and smells even better! The problem is I don't have a cutting of the strain so I'm going to put the plant back under 24/7 until it regenerates and then take some clones. I've done this before and it works great.

I don't know about aeroponics but I've been thinking about it being a good idea to grow fairly large plants in big pots and just keep regenning them long term. What I mean is cutting off most of the buds after complete flowering but leaving the thick branches with small bits of bud as regeneration sites. Also, I would cut back the roots by sticking a knife in the medium halfway between the stem and the rim of the pot numerous times circling the stem.

Growing the large stems is what takes the longest time so once you have them it seems a shame to throw them away and start all over again from little cuttings. By keeping the main stems and regenning after full flowering it should speed things up substantially. I don't know how long it would take to regen from bits of mature buds but I figure it couldn't take more than 4-6 weeks tops. At that point you would have the equivaent of a plant that had veged for months. It would also avoid having to keep a clone mother plant growing and messing around rooting cuttings, transplanting etc. Just seems like a simpler and more efficient way to go.

I guess eventually you'd have to start new plants but you could probably use the same ones for a few years. I've kept big clone mother plants growing for years by cutting the roots back with a knife, as I mentioned, every few months when I saw them getting sluggish. They came right back to vigorous growth again. The dead roots that were cut didn't seem to cause any problems. I was growing in perlite and they just helped it hold more water. I guess they rotted away after a while like compost.

yes, I did my first aeroponics setup 2 tubs going (each tub 6-site 4 gallon net pots, with a 550GPH pump for each tub) I ran into p.h problems in the beginning, I was using that cheap yellow tester, p.h would get set to 5.8 then rise to 6.3-6.5 every day. I started the veg with 1 T5 light and a old T12 dual fixture I had in the garage, I did that for 4-5 weeks then last 2 weeks I switched them to the HPS 600 Watt on dimmer, They loved the hps, they stretched 12" and started to get heat stress on top ,temp was hitting 85, I threw an AC in the room last week and temps are now down to 72-77 degrees now. I fixed the issues I was having flushed them for 2 waterings, then switched them to flower. First feeding after i switched was 3 part GH, Tiny bit of GH Kool Bloom and Cal/MG, PPMs on first feeding in flower was around 900 PPM.

I've LST, top'd them, they don't look FULL though, I've done a few grows now and I know that these aren't' even worth flowering, Im waiting till friday which will be 3rd week in flower, Im going to switch back to veg and scrog them.

THis is first grow from seedling, I know i'm not going to get award winning plant, first generation. Im learning how to read the plants when they tell you what then need, got that down, PH, PPM etc.

I need GUIDANCE BADLY, If you cant tell
