I dislike those kits and have real issues using it personally. Also the strip only runs down to 6.0 which isn't too handy for me as I use an NFT system. I'm a bit silly at times though so they probably work fine lol

GH PH Kit works fine for soil. Just buy a hanna meter on ebay for ph take care of it and store it correctly and it will work for a long time.

soil or hydro they work fine and will save you money till you can get a blue labs, theres no reason
to buy a pen and then get a blue labs. the dropper kit will get you in the ball park range of where
you want to be, true you cant dial it in perfectly. but it will work just fine.

Good to know as I'm switching to hydro for the next batch going in the bloom room and won't be getting my meters for another month

hanna are one of the worst meters on the market, but they do have a new line of meters out that I havent tryed
but if its like the older models they will suck.

I have had an oakton for years and it works perfect. I had it in storage for a while then used it but was not sure if it was calibrated so I bought some calibration fluid and sure enough it was dead on calibrated even after all the use and storage. It all depends on what works for you.

what did you land on for a ph meter FriendlyGuy? Im also in search of one and am on a budget also, anyone have any used ones they wanna sell.. Do you have/plan to have a ppm meter? if you do what brand are you using?
