Recirculating (air) in a grow tent

Hi,

I'm just wrapping up my second grow in a 4'x4'x8' tent. Its in my garage and is pretty much exposed to whatever the outdoor temperatures are. Currently i draw air in from the garage and exhaust back into the garage. I was wondering if it was feasible to recirculate the air in the tent. I had the idea to build a box (out of wood) that i could exhaust into and draw air from. In that box I could have things like a heater/ac etc. I could even have the exhaust fan in the box insulating the noise.

This wouldn't be a legit "sealed" operation as the negative pressure in the tent draws plenty of air in through the gaps but it seems to me it would provide a much greater degree of climate control than what i have atm. Where I live is not humid, usually 40-55% rh, the odd spike but it never lasts long. I thought i could replenish the co2 with one of those mycelium co2 bags.

So does this sound feasible?

No.
The air exhausted from the tent will be co2 depleted and oxygen rich. If you recirculate that back into the tent you will deprive the plants of co2 they need and they will start to canabalize themselves looking for any co2 they can get.
The brown spots and crispy edges that result on the leaves will make you think that you have nutrient problems. And then you will come here looking for that solution. And people here will tell you that you should flush or that your pH is out and you will end up running around in circles chasing a problem you don't have.

Ask me how i know.

Some people have made use of a "lung" room, but your design isnt it. You need to bring in fresh air somehow to the lung room. Or supplement with co2 somehow. And a bag of whatever wont be enough. It cant produce the co2 fast enough.
