Hey RollItUp members !

I'm at the end of my first grow... the anxiety start to build up as i reach the end of the tunnel... For the moment everything seems relatively fine for a first time, but i know that all those months of waiting and taking care of my babies could go to waste if i don't harvest at the right moment.

I'm using a LED microscope 30 / 60 / 100 and i'm watching trichomes all over the plant but i try to look mainely on the calyxes. I'm also watching if the calyxes swells and the colors of the pistils. Basically i'm using all the infos i have found on the web and mostly on this thread : https://www.rollitup.org/t/trichomes-harvesting.516184/ but even with all the good infos, it's still hard to determine the good moment. The trichomes are all different all over the plant so it's pretty confusing for a total beginner like me and i don't want to fuck up...

First here is some data to help you determine if she is ready :

- Name: Critical Kush
- Type: Indica feminized seed
- Flowering time: 55 to 60 days.
- Genetic: Critical Mass and O.G Kush.

Then somes pics of buds i added in attached files. Currently at 59 days since i switched and 52 into flowering. The previous watering was the 18 and the next one will be tomorrow... I think she will be ready to chop in a week or so.

I know it's hard to determine just by looking at the general aspect but that's what i'm asking you... Use your wisdom and experience to guide me because even with a microscope, all the exemples and infos i've got, i'm still not sure... Kinda nervous to do a mistake cause it's my first grow probably.

Anyway, thanks for your time everybody, sorry for all the faults ( as you now know after reading this, i'm not really fluent in english :p ) and have a nice evening  !

Thanks you all for your answers i really appreciate :)...

Percentage of trich is hard to determine as it change from stem to stem, bud to bud... Approximatively 5% clear 10% amber and the rest is cloudy... I think i'm gonna do as you said budman and k3nz and leave her another week while watching her trichs.
Thanks jamboss i try to do my best and yea of course, i'll post more pics to show you the results :weed:.

Have a nice day and a nice GROW RollItup :).

Niiice work dude! Love your bud formation, Looks alot like my Sativa, pretty sure i have Green Crack, At week 11 now going onto week 12, Growth has slowed & can notice fattening, You have nice Goldening Pistils, some of them are retracting and thats a good sign, Really nice Yellowing of your leafs (Yellows out just like mine) and it seems to me your calyxes look nice and swelled up, Keep Check on Trichomes with a microscope if you can, When you see all Milky/Cloudy/White trichomes and no more clear trichomes then she is ready (but can go for longer)

with them trich percentages its all down to preference at this point. i personally chop at 20% amber, 80% milky but i like a heavy stone effect. if you were looking for more of a high or cerebral feeling you try and chop a lil early before any amber shows.

Hey everyone :)

Many thanks to Aussie420, churchhaze, k3nz1387, Irishcrx and kkt3 for your guidance and your advices !

Didn't knew where to post and didn't wanted to create an other topic just for that, so there is some pics of my ladys to get you updated...

Pics are from yesterday, at +69 from switching and + 62 from first pistils. Breeder time is 55-60 days :

0310conchibud.jpg

First a bud from Conchita. The senescence is doing it work. Both plants are being flushed since 18 / 09.

0310shakibud3.jpg

Now a bud from Shakira. Calyxes have swollen since the last time so it's a good sign, pistils are retracting into them and there is less white pistils.

Conchita's bud from up close. There is still a lot of white pistils but trichomes are mostly cloudy...

They will be cut in a few days and i hope i won't fuck up with the trichome maturation :D. I have been reading a lot of guides and asking for your help so it should be ok !

and btw nice plants and remember to post some dried and cured pics of tha prime bud :eyesmoke:
Don't worry k3nz, next post will be for the drying / curing of the ladies 8)...

I wish you all a good week end, see you soon... And good GROW ! :weed:
