Re-veging a plant

I'm sure there are threads on this already, but the search function on this site sucks.

Here's my scenario: got a plant grown from seed that is 6 weeks in to flower. Looks to be about an 8 week strain. I typically take cuts from all new plants before flowering in case it's a keeper, but I didn't with this one. I'm kicking myself now as it looks to be a nice plant.

So, my options are: take a cut from it now and stick it in the cloner, let it finish flowering and then try to re-veg it as a mother plant, or say fuck it and germinate the rest of pack hoping to find something similar.

What would y'all recommend? Have any of you tried re-vegging, and if so what were the results? Was the mother plant fine? Did it produce nice stable clones? How long did it take to re-veg?

Thanks!

I have taken cuttings later than that on long flowering sativas and succesfully revegged but itwas tough but once it totally revegged (about a week less than it took to flower) and i removed all tge old dying bud to let the new leaves take off she was a fine plant and produced normal clones.
What strain and breeder? If its an ibl just pop more if its a poly you better hang onto her.

Thanks for the wisdom. That's reassuring.

It's Female Seeds C-99. I had 10 seeds and only popped 2 to start. They both looked identical through 5 weeks flower so I wasn't worried about it thinking the line is very uniform and if I like it I'll find something similar in the other 8 seeds. One of them has really started to pack on the frost though and now I'm wishing I took a cut of her

nothing like flowering the same (annual) plant twice.

the more lower grn. scraggly stuff the better for a reveg. sativa hybrids seem easier to revert and the same for late flower clones. don't overwater (leave dry patches for oxygen), low to no nutes and 24 hrs of gentle initial light graduating into higher intensity.

the ability to perennial reveg keeps #'s lower.

do both if its worth keeping, take a few cuttings from the least developed buds on the plant now
they will root in the same time but will take a few weeks to grow normal

leave some buds at the bottom of the plant with a few leaves and rejuvenate in 2 weeks when its ready
the cuttings you take now should be starting to grow little stems out of the bud with that distorted re-veg type growth
by the time you are ready to rejuv the rest of the plant

peace

you can clone a flowering plant, in fact I just did a bunch of purple paralysis that my landlord was growing and they were a full 40 days in, in my experience it takes about TWICE as long to root them though, maybe that's just my luck though, typically I don't have a high success rate either, being closer to probably 66-75% success, so if you want to make sure, get three cuts.
I use fresh aloe, and I LOVE using aloe to spray them also.

I flowered a sd without taking clones this round.
left lower buds after harvest.
Switched light back to 24 full strength grow nutes.
Once it produces new growth I will take clones for next round and put the revegged pland in the flower room so I get some sd again this round.

my plants in question im going to reveg are tall. she/it is right at 6'. my veg room maxes out about 6" shorter. would I be able to cut about 1' from the top of this plant and reveg it, or would that cause her/it to become worse? its only the main stalk w/o any vegetation on it that high up.

I took a tiny bud off a 5' BD plant day before harvest rooted it
and grew it out to be 9' x 9'x 9'.
They say a reveg grows more vigorous when they
kick into high gear and I believe it.

Last year my outdoor reveging GSC's took a month to
revert back to veg and my BD's took 2 full months.
