Re-flower after harvest?

Hello! I just signed up for this forum, and I've already read a lot of quality posts! I'm excited to become a part of the community! Here's my first question so far: Can you re-veg and re-flower from a plant that's been harvested? Or is it a complete waste of time? Does the bud from a second harvest have different characteristics?

I was also wondering the same question.

After the bud has been harvested, can the mother plant be put back into veg, and then produce more buds later on?

^ yes, I have a current re-veg from a girl I popped, that would have been lost and I wanted to keep a mother.....:leaf:

It is still vegging @ around 6 weeks or so....just 18/6 all the time under 5000k Cree.

Growing slow and fighting back . I flower in a low height cab, so none of my girls get very tall anyway. But over the last 6 months I have done a few this exact same way. Because I was curious as well as everyone else. For me it has worked.

:peace:

[but it won't let me post a photo....I will when the loader works :joint:]

Re-growing is a great way to go! Harvest as usual except leave a double-handful of greenery around the base of the plant. Cut down the main stem so it is half as tall as the finished plant. Throw her back to vegging for 3-4 weeks and re-flower. Plants that took 7 weeks to finish the first time will finish in 5-6 weeks second time around. Reason is that for every bud you harvest will grow 2 smaller buds in a re-grow. My re-grown plants typically produce 125-175% of the first harvest.

So, re-growing is cheaper, faster and you get a known product for your efforts. I don't see a downside to re-growing unless you have to have huge nugs.

Works for me! Good luck, BigSteve.

PS -- My perpetual grow produces 100 plants a year and re-grows make up 10-20 % of my grows.

How long do you typically re-veg?
I think MonkeyGrinder answered here

regardless though to answer hbbum its all up to you. After full veg sets back in you can veg as long as you wish. If you wanted to reflower quick you COULD feasibly switch to 12/12 in as little as 2 weeks. I would personally use 2 weeks as a minimum time. But I like bigger plants.

cool, thanks, I thought there was a period for them to revert to veg before you begin your 3-4 week veg. If your saying, chop it and then it only takes about 3-4 weeks before you flip, that's pretty awesome. I may try that with one of my hydro trays or a couple buckets to see how it goes.

You can just re-bloom you don`t have to re-veg

GA3 or evoponic`s "plant steroids"

Can kick a plant back into growing stems and leaves ok you don`t get the full on classic fan leaves but the plant grows almost nothing but bud

just cut off the top buds trim the bottom spray with mild ga3 or feed something that will do the same job and hope that she don`t hermi on you

If you ga3`d and then went to 16/8 or 18/6 you`d veg up a monster in a couple of weeks

I`d use some Triacontanol when the plant had grown a bit of height it`s easy to end up with a really lanky fucker using ga3 even more so with sativa`s

I like to use triacontanol during flowering anyway on my plants to get them fatter I also find it good to spray them at least once with it during veg normally does similar tings to topping of fim without slowing down the plants growth

It`s sometimes really tricky to save a plant if you`ve flowered the fuck out of it, sometimes you have to leave some little branches low down on the plant so you have something with almost no bud on it to grow after you`ve hacked off all the sweet meat on her..

that ga3 stuff sounds like something more for the breeder brains of the community..lol

that GA3 is gabrilice acid ....its for feminising male plants like that silver colidine stuff.

would that work better than reveging?

It`s not really for feminizing seeds it makes plants grow so it helps them grow and make seeds after you shock them with the colloidal silver

It does make plants grow new stems and leaf but you take a risk that the plant might stress and hermi on you

I`ve used it a few times after a plant was done flowering and it grows a lot like each bud site can give you 1 to 20 branches but it`s easy to over do it and stretchy the crap out of a plant, veg food and something with ga3 in it will do the job some of them shooting type powders may do the job, I know evopoinics plant steroids makes plants act a bit like they have been ga3`d so must be some ga3 in that or something like it anyway
