If you think your starting or have stem rot on the tips of your clones, is it possible to cut the browning part off and restart it?

yes-
i think the brown you're describing is just soggy dying plant matter. are you in water? typical bacteria infection looks like gray slime. and it takes roots to have root rot?
anyway i cut the tips several times on some batches when learning the curve of my bubble cloner.
