RDWC Tahoe OG and Jillybean Grow

Hello all! Time for an update again. All the ladies are happy and looking sexy as ever!View attachment 2198712View attachment 2198727View attachment 2198729View attachment 2198731 I think the Jilly Bean looks the best. She branched out nicely, and most are of equal height. She would make an awesome SOG! View attachment 2198715View attachment 2198713View attachment 2198728.The Tahoe OG is also doing well but a little more stretchier and more spacing between internodes. You can definitely start to smell the slight hint of lemon around them! A little slower to bud than Jilly(just started a few days ago)but still a nice looking plant.View attachment 2198714View attachment 2198730View attachment 2198718 The Bubba Kush in soil is looking good.View attachment 2198723I'll put up more pics of her next week. I was talking about a light brown slime issue last week and was applying the Multi-Zen. This did not stop the slime, but did seem to keep it from getting any worse. I did notice a lot of new root growth after using it though. I went out and bought some View attachment 2198733SM-90(recommended by the hydro guy)last week and started using it. It completely got rid of the slime! I've read good things about this and glad the hydro guy suggested it! I also bought these 4" air discsView attachment 2198732 and got rid of the cheap 6" stones. What a difference! These discs are great! And they STAY PUT in the center of my bucket.

Well thanks for looking! Grow in Peace!

PPM=850...900 last week was a little too strong for the Tahoe. So now we are back down to 850.
PH= starts at 5.6 but in a day or two always stabilizes at 6.2 Seems a little high but plants seem to be doing fine.

Looking good man. I juss put my berry bomb into flowering yesterday. I wish I could swap my whole thread to dwc but I eff"d up and put it in the hydroponice section instead of being specific and put it it the dwc section. What r u hoping to yield

Im hoping to get at least 2oz from each plant. This is my first hydro run and I started to flower these plants smaller than I did in soil,so I am not too sure exactly. My soil plants got me anywhere from 3.75-5.5oz each! But you can see from my avatar I grew some tall plants! I'm hunched over a little in the pic, but i'm 5'9" to give you a reference. Just saw your journal. Gonna post some ?'s

Damn, has it been a week already? Well, this week has been blooming! As you can see the plants are in full flower. This is the TahoeDSC01927.jpgDSC01935.jpgDSC01933.jpg this is jillybean DSC01922.jpgDSC01924.jpgDSC01932.jpgDSC01928.jpgDSC01925.jpg The Tahoe and the Jillybean are starting to produce their resin and fragrant terpenes. This is the Bubba KushDSC01926.jpg buds are forming but not much resin production yet. I started to have a Calcium lockout due to my Ph holding at 6.2 DSC01921.jpg All the plants were showing signs early last week. I did a complete flush with my Fox Farm flushing solutionsDSC01937.jpg Ran this in my system over night and add new nutrients in the morning. I changed to the Ph perfect solution of A/N Sensi BloomDSC01936.jpgand my Ph has been stabe for 4 days now!IMG_1337.jpg(ha ha,nice water temp)For me the A/N Ph perfect works great and my plants are very happy and recovering nicely!DSC01923.jpgDSC01929.jpgDSC01930.jpgDSC01934.jpg Other than that things are growing right along! Next week we should see the buds starting to fatten and maybe show a little color. Thanks for looking! Grow in Peace! Ph=5.8 E.C=1.7

O.K. Starting week 5 here. I can say the plants are doing good but not great. The leaves that had the calcium lockout got worse and are pretty much dead. This affected the top largest fan leaves mostly on the Jillybean. Here are some photos of the worst leaves..IMG_1415.jpgIMG_1417.jpgIMG_1416.jpg..I've been on the phone with Advanced Nutrients...By the way I was only on hold for tech support for just a minute or two(didn't expect that..thought I would be waiting like 10 min)..Basically what it came down to was I am not using the base A/B at full strength. I've been using it at 3/4 strength which was at 900ppm(by the way Advanced Nutrients said not to worry about my E.C. and just go full strength..thought that was interesting) So as of late last week I am at full strength (1140 ppm) including my B-52 and Overdrive. I totally took out the Cal/mag as A/N believes I may have had a build up of one or the other causing the lockout. So now I'll just wait another week and hope that no more growth gets affected. Buds are forming well and are now starting to swell up! Jillybean smells fantastic!! Tahoe smells like lemon gas, pretty funky! Here is a couple garden shots..IMG_1403.jpgTahoe..IMG_1404.jpgIMG_1409.jpgJillybean..IMG_1407.jpgIMG_1406.jpgBubba kush..IMG_1412.jpgIMG_1413.jpgIMG_1414.jpg Forgot which ones these were..IMG_1405.jpgIMG_1408.jpgIMG_1410.jpgIMG_1411.jpg..Thanks for stopping by..See you next week..

WEEK 6!....... Cal/mag issue under control. All infected leaves wilted and died. lost a few large fan leaves. Good news is the buds are swelling up nicely! Looking good to me considering the lockup. I'm more interested un your rdwc though I would like to know exactly how you made it an do you have a video of it or anything I currently run an aeroflo 36 but I'm want to switch to an ebb and flow bucket system or build my own rdwc thanks un advance for any advice grow on bro

Interesting. I grew Tahoe OG Kush twice.

Take care of that plant. It's the best strain in your tent.

Here is a pretty good picture I can use to explain. The number of buckets is up to you. I currently run a 5 bucket system with 2 reservoirs. You only need one reservoir, but I was running 2 different strains and wanted to keep them separated.I had to add a water chiller so I had to connect my 2 reservoirs.
Lets work our way with the arrows. The bucket with 2 arrows pointing opposite is your reservoir. The buckets are connected with 1 1/4" PVC. The blue thing is a water pump. I use a 250GPH pump. This pulls water from the last 2 buckets back to the reservoir. Thus a recirculating system. If needed a water chiller can be installed between the pump and reservoir. I also run 2 80watt air pumps to 1 air stone and 1 air disk in each bucket.(the more bubbles the better!) Materials needed:
1. 5 gal(or similar)buckets
2. Reservoir(dependent on size of whole system)
3. Water pump(bigger the better)
4. Air pump(also the bigger the better
5. 1 1/4" PVC. Mine took a 10' stick
6. air stones(1 per bucket is standard)
7. Tubing for air pump to buckets.
8. Net pots 6,8,or 10 inch.
9. 1 1/4" gaskets
I think that about covers it. There is a lot of info out there on different designs. Look at them all and choose for your self. This is my first DWC grow and I have learned very quickly to KEEP IT SIMPLE! Check out Void Object,UnderCurrentDwc,or Lordjins' grows and setups. These guys have been doing it a lot longer than I, and i've learned a lot reading their threads. Good luck!! Keep me updated!

Hey thanks so much bro for taking the time to show and tell me. I've looked at a lot of different ones yours appealed to me cause the chiller and how the pump was not in water. Most people don't use a chiller I wouldn't grow hydroponicly without one. I've drawed a few up myself I just have to choose one now I guess an build it its hard to beat the aeroflo 36 I run now but the plants are so close together that's its only downfall. Sorry for the hijack thanks for the info tho I can't wait to see your jillybean an all around end product

+rep & subbed

Glad to be of help. Thanks for the +rep! Yes,a water chiller is definitely needed. I learned after the first couple weeks how warm the water can get if not constantly monitored. And On my original design I used a submerse able pump, but they generate heat and constantly warm the water! That Aeroflo looks pretty cool. Are the roots constantly submerged or is this an ebb n flow? You're right, the plants seem close together. One thing I did with my system was I cut the PVC extra long so I can move the buckets further or closer together depending on what stage i'm in. After this grow I am going to add 4 more buckets and move the reservoir and water chiller outside the tent. Nothing hijacked here! Keep in touch. Good luck with the build.

In Week 7. Jillybean is currently being flushed for the next 10 days. They were getting nute burn due to running full strength. Flushing with Final Phase. Tahoe OG is doing well besides the nute burn also. Running at 3/4 strength now. The Tahoe is getting very frosty and the nugs are fattening up nicely. Tahoe has about 2 weeks left. IMG_1641.jpg
Tahoe OGIMG_1642.jpgIMG_1643.jpgIMG_1644.jpgA couple Jillybean nugsIMG_1646.jpgIMG_1647.jpgBubba KushIMG_1648.jpgIMG_1649.jpg IMG_1650.jpg Thanks for checkin it out. Peace!

Here we are at week 8. My Method Seven glasses came in last week so now my HPS photos will look normal. WARNING: THE FOLLOWING PHOTOS CONTAIN EXPLICIT IMAGES OF NUTRIENT BURNED PLANTS. VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED!!!Now we got the glasses on lets take a look....Tahoe is not as bad as Jill, but Tahoe nugs are still plump and frosty!IMG_1685.jpgIMG_1702.jpgIMG_1703.jpgIMG_1701.jpgIMG_1695.jpgIMG_1696.jpgIMG_1693.jpgIMG_1688.jpgJillybean, burnt but still very frosty, smells delicious!IMG_1686.jpgIMG_1704.jpgIMG_1690.jpgIMG_1689.jpgIMG_1691.jpg Bubba Kush looks great! Soil is pretty much a no brainer though..IMG_1700.jpgIMG_1699.jpg I hope that wasn't too painful to see, but I just want to share my experiences and mistakes with everyone. Everything is being flushed right now. I started flushing Jillybean last week and Tahoe this morning. A 10-14 day flush is what I have planned to help with the over fert issue.

I found it really hard to run 2 different strains out of one reservoir. Each strain has its own nutrient needs. I think that was one of my problems to begin with. Along with the fact that I was using nutrients that I was unfamiliar with and being my first DWC grow. Oh how much I have learned! I hope it was not too painful to see the nute burned plants. I think of it as unshaved nude women. Still beautiful to look at but damn, it could be a whole lot better! ha ha. Anyway, thanks for always stopping by to check things out, Here I made you a waffle! IMG_1155.jpg See you at harvest.

Looking great bro! Screw the nute burn anyone that says they grow perfect plants without a spot on them is a Danm lie. Is that your total harvest in the pics every bit of it I'm anxious to know what you get? How was the density on the jillybean nugs an the bubba kush nugs? And let me know about your taste and harshness on them when there smokeable, have you ever heard of anything like clear-x or any flushing agents they work great and don't add any other taste or bullshit to your final product. I personally use ROYAL FLUSH from HUMBOLDT NUTRIENTS. I didn't want to use a flushing agent but in the aero and the quickness everything happens after a semi-harsh harvest I tried it it worked pretty good then humboldt came out with the royal flush I used it an never looked back. (since IMHO humboldt is the best nute company in the world) I personally use SWEET its made by advance or gen hydro to early to remember it comes in 5 flavors (if you use it how its recommend it don't work an sucks but if you triple or quadruple what it says to use + the royal flush = one of the best berry or Orange or grape etc. you get my drift tasting finished products ever and you still get all your normal taste you would from your plant with the SWEET it just adds that extra hint of whatever flavor u decide to use. Ok ok I know enough with all the ?s right 1 more about your autocloner is that a 5 gal bucket how many does it hold and what did you use for the lid to het it to not leak? I have built 3 diff 1s using 3 diff rubbermaid tubs an they all fucking leak I'm talkin blue my Danm head off leak they work like nothing else an put a 500$ ez-clone to shame for about 85$ but I'm beginning to think that other 400$ is what stops leaks LMAO. So any info is greatly appreciated. Danm ROLLITUP won't let me give you any more rep so +rep again to you. Thanks for answering my previous ?s an thanks in advance for answering the ones in this post man great grow great looking plants and fucking job in general props to you. What # grow did you say this was Fi you or did you. Ok peace I'm out ill stop interrogateing you now lol

Keep it green an grow on- GDWM

P.s. I started a new journal for my blue-hash I'm just waiting on my new mac book pro to come in so i can post pics an all that good stuff an change my journal link in my signature but if you get a chance swing bye and check it out. Late
