Strawberry cough is almost a month old. It was started in dirt, and recently transplanted to rockwool

The others are in a RDWC setup. The WW and PHW are much younger than the Strawberry cough, but have outgrown them substantially.The GDP's are about the same age as the strawberry

The root systems on the RDWC plants are insane for their age. If the strawberry is walking along, the DWC plants are on a train.

i realized I didn't put any info on what I'm using in my room

4x4 room
1000W HPS w/6" aircooled reflector
18x24" charcoal filter --> 440cfm fan --> through light, and out of the room
240 cfm intake fan
Gen Hydro micro/flora/bloom
Recirculating Deep Water Culture
600gph air pump
Main reservoir under table pumping up to buckets w/check valve to prevent water flowing back down.

I haven't updated my grow, so here it goes.

I am at day 24 of 12/12 and the girls are chunky as hell.


CLONING
I built a bubble cloner to keep the family alive and it seems to be working well. I lost one clone of PHW due to not touching the water, but everything else seems to be doing good. Theyve all got little bumps protruding which makes me happy. I bought some stuff to put in the water to help rooting, but I think it was a waste. I'm going to try just tap water next time and compare my results. The water temps in the cloner were very cold, so I put a heating pad under the reservoir and the water is warm now.

MOTHERS
The mothers are doing great. Rapid growth has been the name of the game in my DWC. The white widow was growing at 2-3" per day! It grew about a foot taller than the others in a short time after switching to 12/12. I pinched her 5 days ago. She continued to grow like crazy. She hasn't repaired the part that was bent down, but the top pointed up within a couple hours and again it is taller than the others. The GDP's were topped when I got them, and they are bushy as hell. They came from a very good strain that is delicious and a good producer. The Purple Hash Wreck is doing great also.

ROOM
I had to move my light farthur away from the wall to get better coverage. The 1000w HPS is in a 4x4 room. With my intake and exhaust fans, the room stays nice and cool. 60's-70's. The exhaust fan is on 24/7 with the charcoal filter attached. The intake fan is controlled via thermostat and kicks on at 72. No A/C needed this time of year... It's cold. The water stays very cold also. Hopefully upward growth will slow down, and start focusing on making buds, because my light can only go up another foot or so. I have been able to keep my lights as close as 10", but they will start to show pigment loss when that close, so I try to go 12-14" away. I have been refilling water every 3 days or so with about 5-6 gallons. They're thirsty.

SMALL MOTHERS
I have smaller plants that went into flower at the same time. I have a strawberry cough x deep chunk that was in soil, but was transplanted into a dwc bucket. It doubled in size since flowering, which is good because it looked stunted before. A Mr Nice is slowly gaining momentum. it was topped and the branches grew up pretty good since the roots hit the water. Purple OG Kush is catching up to the strawberry.

Here you can see the WW in the very back. I kept having to raise the light to keep it away. It was only a few inches from the back edge of the hood. Now that it's pinched I can keep the lights low again. In the bottom right you can see the container with the SC and stuff.

The pics I posted yesterday were a week old, so heres the new stuff:

Everything has hairs growing except for the mr nice. I'm watching closely though.

Heres how I have my buckets setup. !/2" lines piped to the bottom. That way the water gets mixed when it's circulating. 3/4" for the drains at the level I want the water. I have a 5 gallon reservoir under the table (going to upgrade so I dont have to change as often). Now since I have the reservoir under the table, and I have the water line low in the dwc buckets, water could just run out. To solve this problem I put a check valve on the pump line. This will keep water from running back into the reservoir (and flooding my room).

The PHW was getting to tall, and was getting too close to the light, so I pinched it and bent it down.

DAY 32 of FLOWER

I uncluttered the room, actually I uncluttered the ceiling. That involved moving my intake fan outside of the room. It was taking up too much ceiling space, which I'm needing more and more now. The light can only go up less than a foot, so I need that free space. I put my 6" fan in a 5 gallon bucket with holes on the bottom and the lid for the ducting. I crammed a bunch of fiberglass insulation in it to keep it quiet. It worked. I also moved my Carbon filter/fan about a foot back.

2 of the 4 big plants had been topped when young, and theres a bunch of colas shooting up from them. The other two I pinched a week ago or so, and since then there has been a big jump in the lower branches jumping up and sporting some nice baby buds. Some of them jumped so high, I had to pinch those branches as well because they grew so much higher than the canopy.

So what do you think? Am I on track for a good harvest? Buying meds is expensive, so hopefully I will have a good harvest. Can't afford to buy it anymore.

I took these yesterday. Resin production is kicking up pretty good since I started using Beastie Budz last week.

I've got some babies brewing, so there's a pic of a PHW. The POG doesn't have roots like this one yet, because it's a week younger or so, but it's on it's way.

I harvested my first grow a couple days ago. It just felt wrong to take some giant pruning shears and hack em down.


I had a 4x4 area setup in which I had 4 plants in 3 gallon dwc buckets lined up. 1sq/ft/plant floor space. I vegged for a month in DWC and they were way too big in flower. They bushed out quite a bit and took up about 2' canopy space each. When I chopped them, they were trees. The PHW wasnt anything special. I'm not going to run it again. The GDP (which is really Purple Diesel but Ill keep calling it GDP throughout this log to not confuse if youve been following) did pretty good. This has been a consistantly good strain over the years, but I didn't grow it right. The WW was my saving grace. It defenitely showed it's sativa background, and kept reaching for the stars. While this stuffed the others a little bit, it's yield appears to be decent. I pinched it in flower a couple times and the main cola got super chunky. After pinching the side branches crept up and turned into decent colas too. The highest producer of the grow. I had a rubbermaid with 3 smaller plants in a DWC. The roots were attacked by fungus gnats and really hurt them. By the time I got it under control the roots were brown and damaged. However, the strawberry cough x deep chunk really surprised me. It has a VERY distinct strawberry candy smell. It's pretty amazing. The best smelling bud I've ever smelled. Not just a little hint of smell like most have, It is strong and delicious smelling.

I am going to run GDP(PD) next run and WW only. I took down a wall and opened up my room to more than double it's size, so they will have more room to grow. I am also going to get a light mover. I'm going to run 6-12 plants next time on a coop grow.

I am almost out of medicine, so this crop came at a perfect time. While there is not as much yield as I had hoped for, I learned something and will have a better one in a few months. I feel pretty good about it. First time grower with a successful recirculating deep water culture setup. Kept all of the plants alive (except one bareroot clone), and have some good looking meds.

Smoke Report:

I tried someone elses sample of WW and SCxDC from the same genes as mine, and I must say... Damn.

WW
I had never smoked WW before. I am impressed. Very, very, cerebral. Did not feel paranoid or anxiety (like I do with dominate Indicas), overall a great smoke with medium pain relieving aspects. The smell and taste are almost spicy. I'll never forget that smell. it's weird. WW is in my top 5 smokes. Very crystally.

SCxDC
I've had SC a couple times and it is also in my top 5 smokes. I was really impressed with this one too. Tasted very good, again it was very very cerebral. this was very crystally also. I only had small samples, so I'd have to smoke them a few more times to figure out which is my favorite, but both of them were top shelf in my opinion.

I tried the SCxDC in my vaporizer too. Usually I can pack the whip and I will get 1.5 to 2 different smoke sessions tops per bowl. With the SCxDC I got 3 full smoke sessions before I got no more vapor. And I had a small bowl. Very impressed, got about twice as much smoking out of it.

Ill post pics later, and in a few days I'll check my yield and do a smoke report of my stuff.
