Hi , I have grown hybrids from rare darkness lately and i must say I never seen plant stretching so much , so I asked around and a guy told me it was due to coloidal silver they used, they used it to fem their seeds, but its not the right product to use i was told . sts is used by most but hen coloidal silver is applied not only it stretch the plant for pollen , but it does not only stretch the plants but they grows like clones, like poor elongated clones. another Elite breeder that rather revise his method cause for me its the lat time. I hate stretch , I hate when plants are doing like that.

anybody can confirm this?

Most Rare Dankness strains are Hazes and OGs, both known for stretching. If youre doing a fem I assume its their ghost train haze which is definitely a stretchy strain. Ive never heard of Colloidal silver changing a plants dna to make the seed offspring more stretchy.

You can adjust your growing style with shortened veg time and topping/training the plants to get a shorter more compact plant, or switch to indica dominant strains that naturally grow shorter and bushy.

It sounds like b.s. to me. And ive never heard of the idea before. It might be a plant for outdoor growing though. Theres a lot of breeders that tell you that a plant is good for indoor and then you grow it and its like a daddy long legs with tiny buds all over and you say,"daaaaaaamn!" This plant sucks, till you grow it outside and it fills out and produces five lbs.

Some of my favorite strains stretch more than I like. When I pick the ones to clone it seems I find the lanky babes smoke better for me. I like Sativa leaning highs. My plants get 2.5' to 3 ' or so and that's with a lot of bending etc.

I'm growing one of the most well known stretchers in the industry, it doesn't have to be a bad thing, use it to your advantage and train it or veg less.

I can't understand how colloidal silver could do that to a strain that never had that trait in the first place.

If You are experiencing elongated internodal spacing then there are many environmental factors that cause this, what works for 1 strain (temp/humidity/light) might make another strain very lanky and nervous looking. Try gettin light closer, temps lower. Crowding also causes stretching, as plants battle for light they care less about bushing out and more about trying to get some light before everyone else pinches it all

24 hours of light during veg and also if you use lower kelvin during veg it will help reduce stretch
